  1. thanks for the response
  2. I found a new track and replaced it. I also had to have a friend cut the gas tank apart and clean out 35 year old gas and re-weld. Cleaned the carb and changed the windshield. Put everything back together and went for my first ride last night. I felt like a kid again driving all around my land for over an hour. I was waiting for my dad to flash the yard light to tell me to come in like he did when I was a kid. Awesome memories. I plan on taking it over to my moms this weekend and letting her take it for ride.
  3. heck of an honor..
  4. I have faith in you.
  5. That sucks Mark, WI is getting it also and I am very unhappy because all of my prime trees on my land are ASH. I have been weeding out Elm trees for the last 20 years that have died from Dutch elm disease. I only have a few left and now it looks like ASH will be next. The forester told me that I am doomed because my land is along a highway and more than likely it will come in from there.
  6. Merle get your truck to Missouri and maybe he would have room to haul it both ways to the BBQ. You could fly out and have your truck there for you.
  7. I would be crapping one of those ice blocks if I had my truck on the ice with that much weight. I have a hard time believing in the strength of ice.
  8. I have Amish that work for me and they have Ice houses they store ice in. They usually get 3 or 4 guys together and cut the ice when its 12" thick. They have a English guy that hauls Amish and they use his tandem trailer and load all the houses in a day. They use a chain saw to cut the ice. I know what you guys are thinking, that's not very Amish but that's just the tip of the iceberg. Pun intended. Awesome use of a truck
  9. What's really funny is I didn't realize it was in German.
  10. awesome picture
  11. I received a quote from the local dealer. Not as bad as thought for a price. Has anyone out there used Land Pride Model HD25 before mounted to the front loader? I am concerned about the quality because it will be used often.
  12. Thanks for sharing, blows my mind how an engine was invented way back in the day.
  13. Thanks Merle. There is a dealer 20 miles north of me. I called and he is working me I a price
  14. I bought a 2016 John Deere 3046R with a H165 Loader and I am looking for a post hole digger that would mount to the loader in the front. I talked with my JD dealer and he is not aware of anything that would mount to my tractor. He thinks there is not enough flow in the hydraulics compared to a skid-steer unit. Anybody have any ideas. I would like an 18 or 24" auger.
  15. Any body going to the ATHS National Convention in the IOWA State Fairgrounds May 25-27? I am thinking of taking my semi tractor there if I don't sell it before then.
  16. Awesome, I love to see old iron in use
  17. I would never take mine out in the snow, too much salt on the roads.
  18. very nice
  19. Well said Mark, and thanks to our webmaster, Mark and Tod for everything you do for this site. PS. Packers are the NFC North champs. Viking are somewhere down the list.
  20. Thanks for all the input, I used the trailblazer to haul my crews around when I had my tool trailer parked on site and didn't need my dually. We call it the "Amish Getter", I have Amish that work for us. I got 16 MPG with the trailblazer compared to 12 MPG with my dually. The AC & speedometer haven't worked in years so its time to move on. THANKS again, Todd B
  21. I have a 2003 Chevy Trailblazer with 204,000 miles on it. I noticed my Transmission slightly slipping while accelerating. I stopped and checked the fluid (in Park) and it was low, I keep checking for the next few days and kept adding a total of 1.5 qts. The car kept on getting worse and worse and now I have no 3rd and overdrive. It just winds. I took it in and the fluid is blacker than the ace of spades and smells very burned. Will changing the trans fluid and filter fix this or should I take it to the big bone yard. Any advise would be appreciated. Todd B
  22. Isn't Linda's cat named PUMA????????????
