  1. I can see why you enjoy it so much, the ladies are doing of the work!!
  2. I was raised with the motto "Buy American or go find a job in Japan". That being said, in 2011 I ordered a new Dodge 4 door dually and it was late on the delivery date to me. I called the dealer and he said it was tied up in customs on the Mexican border. That frustrated me but I got over it. Recently I ordered a 46 horse John Deere Utility tractor with all the bells and whistles. I wanted to put 3 grab hooks on a plate and bolt it to the top of the bucket for lifting items on the job. I looked at several parts stores to find made in America grab hooks. I finally gave in and found some that said made in China on the tag but not stamped on the hook. I had the hooks welded on the plate and then powder coated. I was bolting the bar on the bucket and noticed on the main bucket tilt cylinders of my brand new John Deere tractor there was a big punched in stamp that said made in MEXICO with big bold letters. So much for buying AMERICAN trucks and a quality AMERICAN tractor.
  3. Very nice Chevy, I love the stance. No comment on the Toyota's. My dad taught us if you cannot say anything nice don't say anything at all.

  8. Mine was a 1949 B1B, Bought when I was 14 and with tons of Dads help I drove it on my 16 birthday back in 1980. I gave the truck to my son when he was 16. 14 years later it still is not finished with the restoration.
  9. This happened to me on my 49 back in 1980. There is a little white deal on the back of the switch that was bad. Went to a junk yard and got a new switch and has been great since.

  13. The windmill was 40' tall but we bent the bottom 10' when I took it down. Its now 30', which is fine because I have equipment to reach it at 30'. The governor does work, I watched it the other day in high winds and the tail comes around to slow it down. I believe the year is between 1931 - 1941. I want to take a 5 gallon pail when its a good steady wind and see how long it takes to fill it. I am guessing less than a minute.
  14. Sorry, I just read GTK post on the changes
  15. I "VERY MUCH" appreciate what you do for this site but I must ask. Why would you make such dramatic changes to something that was awesome.
  16. Is everything totally changed with the site format or is it my computer????????
  17. Thanks, I contacted both and I am waiting.
  18. I have a cool video but its too big to load. The mill pumps perfectly, I need to finish the rock retaining wall and the water storage tank yet. I made one mistake and used treated lumber for the cover of the pit. It should be a concrete cap. I will change the cap in the spring when I get everything working for the garden irrigation.
  19. I inherited my Dads 1968 Scorpion Mark II snowmobile. The track is junk and I don't know where to look for one. My buddy told me that a 1971 Stinger would also fit. Any help would be appreciated. Todd b

  21. I will call you tomorrow with the info. I still think I should buy it for the compressor, dual carbs and other toys but I am going to walk away from it.
  22. Sunday Sept. 18 there is a car show at the local Catholic Church 1/2 mile down Highway 45 from my shop. Close to 80 vehicles. Should probably start a new thread.
