  1. First time I've seen chromed runnning boards. Wondering what he used for the rear bumper? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120595347948&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT
  2. I've seen chromed front and rear bumpers before, but not chromed running boards. Wonder what he used for the rear bumper? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Dodge-Other-Pickups-B3-Panel-1952-DODGE-B3-PANEL-VAN-TRUCK-FULLY-RESTORED-RARE-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem1c140af9ecQQitemZ120595347948QQptZUSQ5fCarsQ5fTrucks
  3. Try Vintage Power Wagon http://www.vintagepowerwagons.com/ Group 18, page 77 I think has what you're looking for.
  4. I would solder as you suggest. The switch should be able to handle the heat from the solder.
  5. I show NAPA Part # UP544 or Raybestos Part # MC544.
  6. Very nice. You've already accomplished what I hope to do, once I get my truck all back together.
  7. The truck looks great.
  8. It should be real nice when you're done.
  9. It's pretty amazing what you can do to a '48. Things I never even thought of. http://dodgetruckworld.tenmagazines.com/ew/topic.asp?id=264578&1948_Dodge_Truck
  10. Glad you could show off the truck to the other WPC members. Sounds like a great trip.
  11. Nice looking truck, good looking racks.
  12. A great looking interior. You did a nice job.
  13. Wow Tim, nice on the video!
  14. Some of the bolts a reverse threaded.
  15. My truck came with stacks when I got it, but they weren't very well done. I'm still debating whether I'll use stacks again on my restoration. I've always like the look on the 'lil red' dodge trucks. I picked up a pair on ebay and may use those.
  16. Did they really run the exhaust up through the hood? Truck looks good.
  17. Always loved the COE's. Not many of them around.
  18. I looked in the DPETCA directory. We have two other members in UT. one in Taylorsville, and the other in Farmington. Our members in Nevada are far North of you near Reno and our Arizona members are down near Prescott and Flagstaff. Kinda spread out. If you can, come visit us at the Salt Flats during Speed Week, September 15, 16 and maybe 17. It'll be a good time driving a pilot-house at 130 mph. (maybe).
  19. Received a message from the publisher. They still don't have an estimate of the cost to reprint, but are working on it. They are hoping to have it in their fall catalog. They were thinking of only printing about 100. I think they need to run 200 - 500. My opinion.
  20. Went to Peggy Sue event this last week. My first sight couldn't have made me more proud...Three Dodge trucks all at once. Glory Be! 1945, 1946 and 1947's all in a row. Owned by Rene Peron and Steve Larson. I posted some other pics as well on the gallery: http://dodgepilothouseclub.org/gallery/v/Peggy_Sue/
  21. I have not heard anything more. I'll have to email him again and see what's up.
  22. My truck is still in too many pieces to bring to any show, but I will be there in the afternoon. I'll wear my black "job-rated trucks" T shirt, so be sure to say hello. If you want you can call me tonight and we'll meet at a specific time.
  23. Merle makes a good point. For each pilot-house on the road, 1 - 3 may have had to be sacrificed. I disassembled one in the process of restoring mine and parts came from another that a local teenager disassembled and got over his head, so it went out as parts.
  24. Congratulations! Your article gives a boost to us all.
  25. Congratulations. I married my best friend and it was a decision I have never regretted. Wish you the very best.
