PS. I say this respectfully of DCM - I have purchased a few things that were wrong or not functioning out of the box. You may want to test the fuel pump if you are thinking fuel system.
I may have found springs at VPW. I would have to look through my records. I would think you would see other signs if it was your mechanical advance. Does the original fuel pump work enough for a test spin to rule out fuel delivery? Does the engine idle and rev smoothly in place? Is your fuel line new and unobstructed?
How does the engine sound / smell at idle and under load? Did you check / replace the springs for the mechanical advance at tune up? The stock exhaust DCM sells works perfectly fine as long as there are no obstructions. Lastly, what is your new fuel pump outflow set at?
IMHO fiberglass fenders suuuuck. They are not rugged, can be a challenge to mount straight and don't always paint up and wear like metal. BUT, I am a traditionalist and prefer metal. If fiberglass is all you have to work with, there you go. If the salvage fenders are in good shape, 2000 isn't a terrible price. Does your current fender have the crease or the salvage fender? Depending on how deep, a crease is not a hard fix.
My brake cable was a raveled up mess when I bought my B2D. I had to replace it. They are not cheap, you might give GGdad's recommendation a go first.

Agree with Merle - the outside of the drivers side frame, not far behind the tire. If the frame has been repainted, you may need to lightly sand the area until you uncover the number. When you find it, run it through:

Good for you. I am not much for social media either. Everyone should watch the recent XFiles episode " Rm9sbG93ZXJz ", even if you are not a fan of the show. Whether you find another forum or not, stick with us also. You and your truck seem to be our kind of people!
Do you have a picture of the dome light? Is it different than this one?

Fantastic truck and one of my top three favorite colors. PM Jj1981 and see if he has a line on the dome light. He has a friend with some defunct trucks. Other than that, post it under wanted equipment on this forum and keep asking. One will turn up eventually. Lastly, welcome.
I agree with the post factory addition of signage to the tail gate. plenty of photo evidence of this. VPW has the necessary pieces to restore or replace the bed. They are pricey, but have what is needed. I really like that color!
A similar Chevrolet dump truck (1950) weighs in at just under 7K. So it is going to be close. To be truly accurate, you may need to put it on a scale. I don't know how far you have to trailer the truck, but the weight and length may create an atmosphere where coffee is not necessary. Where I come from, we do things like this all the time. We just yell "hey ya'll watch this" first.
