martybose Posted July 25, 2008 Report Posted July 25, 2008 Technostalgia has started shipping their LED stoplight assembly. I was surprised when I read the instructions that it incorporates exactly the same circuit as their LED taillights, so the center stoplight can be a taillight as well as being a rapid-fire stoplight. BobT-47P15 Posted July 25, 2008 Report Posted July 25, 2008 Do you want it to be a tail light? Would that create a little confusion, being in the middle? Quote
martybose Posted July 26, 2008 Author Report Posted July 26, 2008 Do you want it to be a tail light? Would that create a little confusion, being in the middle? Shouldn't be any more confusion than having it the only stoplight on the back of the car. With the rapid-fire feature, there won't be much doubt about when it is supposed to be a stoplight. If you have both the Technostalgia stop and tail lights, all of them can be both tail lights and stoplights (as well as the tail lights being turn signals!). Marty Quote
Don Coatney Posted July 26, 2008 Report Posted July 26, 2008 Sounds great Marty; Post a picture when you get it mounted. Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted July 26, 2008 Report Posted July 26, 2008 ah yes..but wasn't there an issue with this unit fitting coupe/sedan?? Quote
GeorgeLeonard Posted July 26, 2008 Report Posted July 26, 2008 Does anyone have any contact information from this company? I searched for a web presence but could not find web address. All I find was some listings in Jegs calalog. Thanks Quote
daddyo23 Posted July 26, 2008 Report Posted July 26, 2008 Wish they made them for 6V. Is there a way I could use what they have with some mods? Wayne P. Quote
martybose Posted July 27, 2008 Author Report Posted July 27, 2008 Here's a couple of photos. I was pleased that they made the effort to put the ship on the stoplight lens. and one of the back end of my Business Coupe with the full complement of Technostalgia stuff Marty Quote
David Maxwell Posted July 27, 2008 Report Posted July 27, 2008 My friend Manuel installed their tail lights and they are fantastic!! I'm sure he'll be wanting to add the center brake light now. Quote

Some Carquest stores have a display of Red LED compo tail/stop lights. Not cheap..about 38 bucks and up depending on size and number of leds. The great feature is that when hitting the displays hi intensity stop button, the intensity goes up by about 3x best as I can tell. Some work required to retrofit into existing vintage lamp assemblies. Quote
