buds truck Posted July 19, 2008 Report Posted July 19, 2008 Oldest son Luke just posted this on youtube for me. This was taken last April. PatS.... Posted July 20, 2008 Report Posted July 20, 2008 Looked like a fun day with the kids. That old flattie sure does sound sweet, thanks for the ride, Don Quote
bob_amos Posted July 20, 2008 Report Posted July 20, 2008 Now that is cool!! Isn't great that we can all share home movies and actually experience each others cars? The car sounds great. Nice family too... You are a lucky man Don. Quote
David Maxwell Posted July 20, 2008 Report Posted July 20, 2008 I've been meaning to do something like that for a long time now. Next ride I take with some passengers in the back, I'M GONNA DO IT!!! Heck, I might try it this week when my brother comes up from Burbank. Thanks for sharing it! Quote
Normspeed Posted July 20, 2008 Report Posted July 20, 2008 Great film Don. That car sure sounds good. Quote
Howard Tarnoff Posted July 20, 2008 Report Posted July 20, 2008 Very Cool, I went to CVS and bought one of their disposable jobs that is supposed to put the video on a cd. I have not shot it yet, I have enough trouble with my still camera, so thanks for giving us the idea of doing a ride. Now I need to rent be a grand kid to figure out how to upload it to You Tube. I do software for a living but have become a total appliance operator...I am not good at this new stuff. Anybody got a grand kid for rent Quote
bob_amos Posted July 20, 2008 Report Posted July 20, 2008 Wouldn't it be great for the group here to post thier cars in operation like Don did on one site? We all could post our rides and the rest of us could go to one place for a great ride. Hook the computer to your HDTV as a monitor and really enjoy going along for the ride. How cool would that be? Quote
Robin (UK) Posted July 21, 2008 Report Posted July 21, 2008 Thanks Don, I really enjoyed the ride. I'm off to a show with a bunch of other 30s/40s/50s cars next weekend, so might get my friend to shoot some video when we're on the road. Quote
Captain Neon Posted July 21, 2008 Report Posted July 21, 2008 Don- You may want to encourage your kids to get some heavy chain, and a good padlock for your older grand daughter. It looks like the boys will around like bees to honey in just a few more years. You have a nice family. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted July 22, 2008 Report Posted July 22, 2008 A couple summers ago, Don was kind enough to give Norm (Norm's Coupe) and me a ride in his Plym there in his hometown of Murfreesboro, TN. Had a bite of lunch with Don & Lisa and Norm and his better half Mary. Then we got to cruise around town a bit in the Plym. Those pipes do sound nice. A cool video your son took, Don. (That's me--the short guy in the middle.) Quote
