My parts book is the Plymouth passenger car parts list, model series P15, revised October, 1948. it lists high beam indicators with and without turn signal indicators. No drawings of the turn signal indicator version that I have found, though.

I have seen 1 at a POC meet and I believe GTK also has one.

I just checked my P15 parts book. There was a high beam indicator with the signal indicators included. However, it is not listed with the regular standard parts. It was listed under the accessories section in the front of the book. So....the buyer had to order the car that way, or order it special through the dealer after the fact. Also, there is no part number for that bezel. It came as a whole assembly with the flasher, wiring, etc. Next to the bezel listing the part number just says ---------. The assembly part number was 1232 711. There are no pictures of it in the book, at least that I could find. Only picture is of the high beam only bezel.

So..........if this is the case, I'd say thats a rare bird if you find one. Most people probably opted for the cheaper aftermarket flasher units like most of us have seen.

My 1936-48 Plymouth Master Parts List has part numbers for the high beam indicator, both with and w/o turn signal indicators. It lists the parts (with different numbers for each year) for the P11, P12, P14, and P15.

The only pictures it shows (at the top of the columns) shows the straight rather than angled type, like the Dodge parts in Tim's picture.

I have seen P-15s with the turn signal indicators, so I know that they do exist.

I am using a Dodge turn signal/high beam indicator in my 1941 P12. I cut off the shaft and then cut it to match the angle of the P12 high beam indicator shaft. I then fastened it to the light bezel with JB Weld. I also used the turn signal indicator bulb holder that went with the Dodge piece. As modified, it fit fine in the dash. If you take out the standard high beam indicator bezel, you will see that the dash already has the cutouts for the turn signal bulbs, they are just covered up by the solid "wings" on the standard high beam piece.

Neil Riddle just sold that one......nice looking condition.....but missing the

bulb holding apparatus. I think it went for $158 or so.

Another one on ebay complete with bulb holders being sold by seaplym, however, ebay has got some of ongoing glitches and won't let you look at it.

Currently round 60 bucks with nearly a week to go.

Well, as far as I'm concerned thats just a $15 item. Otherwise I can just use my memory to turn off the signal. I already know which side I turned on, so don't need a light on the dash to tell me that. If I have the left signal on, the switch is in the down position, if the right one is on its in the up position, if it's in neutral its off, its in the horizontal position. Its sort of like the gear shifter. Don't need or have a light to tell me what gear I'm in.:)

You are right there, the flasher unit makes it's ticking noise as well but I guess it's a case of more is best. My 73 Charger had repeater lights on top of the fenders. Later I bought a 78 Magnum and installed the same lights as the Charger. My DD now is a F250 and being a little deaf (stone deaf according to you know who) I quite often find I am cruising with the signals on. Maybe it's

CRS.
