This car is located in East San Jose Foothills. It's all there, some rust, but looks like its never been hit. I have a single car garage, even so I was looking to tear down my side fence to put it on a pad in the back. But in reality it would mean a couple of summers of work again. But you have it cheap I am sure.

Anyone???

Somebody twists my arm a little more, and I may take it. I like the year and the suicide doors.

Yeah the interior needs all new upholstery. And like I say there is some rust, so some repair is needed. I wish I learned to weld. Never knew these things had windshield washers. I'm thinking. And here I was just getting really happy with my 52.

Can't you get it and keep your 52? Tell your wife that all the guys on the forum said it was OK. That should take care of everything.

I think we would ALL sign a permission slip!!!!:D

Made the pic a bit brighter,, I think, Dont see a switch. I only spent about 15 min looking at it. Just enough for me to want it.

thanks..makes me wonder where they put the switch..the turn signals are not stock..the indicator is high beam only...I guess what I am really saying is that there seems to be no rhyme nor reason on how these cars were equipted...being a Deluxe model..these were probably added at the dealer after purchase..

I drove from middle Georgia to north of Indy to grab my last Dodge (Town Sedan)...the other Town sedan I got was 972 miles..was there and back in just a tad under 46 hours...the Plymouth come from even further north but it is only made its way to south Indiana..at a friends house, will see Coatney on that retrieve..the other Dodge is closer and will only have to treck to a border state...that should be this weekend if we don't get bad weather...I say, fish or cut bait when it comes to good deals..I plan to have a number of these at the house for when I retire...

Went out back to figure out logistics, I run a small remodel company from home so already have storage that I need to expand to make room for another pad to sit the car on, then tent it.

I am a owner of a 1948 D24 either Deluxe or Custom as far as I can figure. Has the 119 wheel base, just looks bigger to me.

I paid 850, more than I wanted to but it includes two free tows.

So,, I'm gonna need those notes from all you guys for my lady,,,,,, She will need something to read while I am in the side yard grinning while filthy. :D

Any good advice, (that is free,,,,,), on the restore of this beast. I will tell you now it will not be all correct. Im going 12 volts, maybe front disc brakes, but in general I want it to be stock looking at least.

Tim;

My trip to Virginia is off. When are you heading north? I might join you on the pickup. Wonder if Richie is up for a trip?

I'm really glad you got the car. $850 is a steal especially with the tows. That is a sweet car at a sweet price. Glad you went fishing!

How about puting your company name on the door then maybe this fine automoble will be a tax write off.:D

Thanks everyone. Good idea about my company name on the car. I'm getting jazzed now. It gets delivered the end of next week, so I will have time to pour concrete and tent it.

One of the two tows was going to be to a steam cleaner for a good bath. Darn thing cost almost half of what the car cost me. But hopefully it will kill any snakes and black widows,,,

I brightened up the rest of the original pics.

Again, thanks, and I will keep you posted. And hopefully not bore you all with too many questions.

congrats on a nice find! so not typical of a Carolina car.... here, they're either rusted away from salt air or pine needles. there used to be a bunch of these in Central Va when i was a kid in the late 60's early 70's. faded away during the gas crunch...
