Jim Yergin Posted February 22, 2008 Report Posted February 22, 2008 Lou This is from the reference section of the main site: Factory Build Cards Are Now Available From Chrysler ! Cost is $45.00 USD and requires your car's factory serial number. (VIN number on the door frame, not the engine block serial number.) Mail information to: Chrysler Historical Collection, DaimlerChrysler Corporation, CIMS 410-11-21, 12501 Chrysler Freeway, Detroit, MI 48288, USA Jim Yergin Quote
Young Ed Posted February 22, 2008 Report Posted February 22, 2008 They will require a photocopy of your title to prove its your car. I have the card for my p15. Quote
Jim Yergin Posted February 22, 2008 Report Posted February 22, 2008 Ed, Is that requirement something new? I have ordered two build cards in the past and did not have to submit a copy of my titles. Jim Yergin Quote
Young Ed Posted February 22, 2008 Report Posted February 22, 2008 It might be. About a year ago my dad and I did ours and had to send in copies. The only difference might be is that a third person was paying for these as a gift so maybe they wanted proof because of that. Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted February 22, 2008 Report Posted February 22, 2008 well..you be sucking buckets here in Georgia..if you got the car on bill of sale...no such thing as title..and if you got the title in the deal..it is only historic documentation as Gerogia views it as broken chain..and if it was not broken..you just broke it registering it in the state of Georgia..the law states that they can issue a title on your request if you want to pay the fee..however..they interpret their own las as no title to be issued 1984 and back...so you WILL NOT get a tilte from Georgia...so if documentation is needed..we be hurting unless you hve the car registered and they dtake the registration as proof..the body ID will be on the registration... FMSPEED49 Posted February 22, 2008 Report Posted February 22, 2008 What all info does this "card" have, and is it worth 45.00 to see? Quote
greg g Posted February 22, 2008 Report Posted February 22, 2008 It is a copy of the build card. Shows the date, the sequence, the options, the vehicle numbers, What dealership it was sent to and the order number if it was a special order vehicle. Quote
1948Skip Posted February 23, 2008 Report Posted February 23, 2008 Gentleman, Yes indeed they will require the photocopy of the title. I ordered info last year and had to send in the photocopy of the title. It took about a month until I heard from them. I was satisfied with what I received. Skip Quote
