This morning on the bank time and temp in town it said 43 degrees at 5:00 AM and tomorrow it's supposed to hit the low 90's. This is in northwest Indiana. Been a really strange spring for us here with a lot of hot and then cold then back to hot again. Just glad it didn't do the 50 degree temp change all in one day. A fella could get the bends or something. I never know whether I should wear a coat to work or not. Like PatS said if you don't like the weather, just wait 5 minutes, it'll change.

Got a real ''frog choker'' last night, rained pretty hard, but not for too long. Some pretty big storms passed us by again... then the cold front came in... almost jacket weather...............sure feels like it dropped 50 degrees !

Just thought you guys going to Tulsa might like to know ::We got four more inches of rain last nite,, 20 % to 30 % forecast all week. Alot of local creeks and rivers are starting to overflow. I know Tulsa has a lot of rain also......................just heard on the radio ...they got 7'' south of here, some roads flooded, and some farm land........

I really hope you guys in Cananda survived the tornadoes a couple days ago ! Maybe ya'll should move to Kansas where it's safe ! Still raining here, lots of flooding, It's like there's been rain around here 17 of the last 20 days ! AnotheR 6 to 10 inches for the next 5 daYS !!!

I do not know where it is safe for a tornado any more. We are supposed to have no tornado's at all. Last year we saw one building and touching down only 20 miles form here. Last week one destroyed the roof tops of some houses in Germany. Guess tornado's will come to visit more areas, also to those who do not get them normally.

Larry it's been wetter and cooler the last 5 days here also, we had a lot of rain to boot. Here is a pic of the F4 Tornado that ravaged a small town just west of Winnipeg Manitoba. This one even made CNN news. The storm that night was unbelieveable, I was at work, it looked like a hurricane, I even saw a funnel cloud form it's tail coming down, but it was pushed right back just as fast..........Fred:eek:

Well Larry were do you think we are ," in the midwest". Just the northern tip of the great midwestern plains. And yes we get Tornadoes here, as well Sothern Ontario gets them too. We also get killer Thunderstorms here, as well as large hail and humid muggy summers......Fred

Well, I guess I just never gave it any thought . Now that you mention it, the grain harvest thing starts in Texas, goes way up into Canada.........which by the way , will be really late this year cause of all the rain, mud, and the grain is starting to get black ( moldy )........... I'm just trying to stay at home, not go any where , not bother anyone, and just work ( play ) with my toys. NOTE: I said I was TRYING, dosen't mean it's working !

just thought I'd revive this thread... been 105 heat index here !!!! And will be for quite some time now, high humidity, upper 90's !!!!!!!!! Send me some of that cold Canadian weather you guys had not too long ago !

Posted

Sorry, no can do, been hot hot hot here for about 6 weeks...90's+

All the campgrounds south of here are closed because of the high fire threat. And it's a long weekend :(

Sorry larry, although it's cooler in the 80s the last few days, it was hotter here than what you had, within a week ago it was 95 to 100 with a humidex factor of 111, I really think you have the wrong idea of Canadian weather, plus it's only real extreme cold here on the prairie in winter as well as the north , but much of the populated areas, suchas BC, Southern Ontario, probably have much milder winters than you do in Kansas, so latitude does'nt always count. Forecast is for mid 80s here this next 5 days.......Rock of the North

you're right , Rocky, I

admit it ! I guess I just have these pictures stamped in my head of Canada being cold and iced over 9 months of the year ! Guess that's why we have this thread going, ....too keep ''us'' southeners ............the way it really is !

SEE!!!!!! I knew it !!!! THAT'S the Canada I'm talking about ! I know I slept alot though high school, but !................. I don't think ''Rocky '' actually lives in Canada !......................(just kidding )

Rocky and Bullwinkle live here for sure!!!! The RCMP ride horses and wear their red tunics all the time, and we live in igloos by the lake. All 35 million of us ;)

Did you know we burnt down the first White House?

Don't piss us off!!!! :)

Rocky and Bullwinkle wasn't even shown in Canada from what I've heard. They thought Duddley was too insulting. And everyone knows they are from Frostbite Falls MN!

Tim, Barney was ok as long as you didn't let him put his bullet in his gun.

This Labor Day weekend, it's been 110 to 115 in the inland areas here. Too hot to drive the old P24, it being black and no A/C, so the little Festiva is getting some use. Nice cold A/C. I got in some quality time yesterday visiting some local thrift stores, antique shops and a really good military surplus store in Pomona.

This is the hottest I recall it getting around here. Over at the Colorado River, these are routine summer temps, but for L.A. County this is extreme!
