Doing It Wrong?

Is there a secret way of searching topics? I have tried a couple of different times to find something I have read recently and can't seem to find what I want. My last try was engine flushing as I know in the last couple of months there have been at least two or three remarks about this and some had very good links to even older comments. Are the words separated by commas or something? Sorry I am not that great on the computer but only slightly better with the wrenches!  Dave

I find it easy to just put the topic into the web browser with P15 behind it and the web search gives you options.

I believe Sniper was the member who shared this easy search method with me when I first joined the forum........

Yes, I use Duck Duck Go, here is a screen shot, note the search term I used.  Just replace "engine flush" with whatever term you are searching for

I suspect that the technically correct search syntax for a specific site search (for the web engines) will be: "engine flush" site:p15-d24.com

No need to include the http/www/ftp, etc. :)

I am afraid that the above is also incorrect, since by adding space in between the "site:" search condition and the site address, you are actually not using the aforementioned condition. The search is not looking on the specific website, anymore, but is looking everywhere for the search words (including the site address). Unless, of course, this is what you want. :)

Well, you still find most of the same information searching for the key-words with the site address among them. It is just that the search is now pulling more results from all sorts of places :)

Thank you everyone. I just found it frustrating and was hoping someone had the answer. Lots of good help in the forum for sure, and not just with our cars.  Dave

Just as a followup I just tried the method from Sniper and the first try gave me the exact article I have been searching for the last week. Thank you everyone for the help.
