rcl700 Posted March 3, 2024 Report Posted March 3, 2024 When pulling out and reinstalling plymouth flathead should I be picking up the block by the head bolts and a chain? (Back corner to opposite front corner) Quote
Bob Riding Posted March 3, 2024 Report Posted March 3, 2024 That's the way I've always done it. Quote
rcl700 Posted March 3, 2024 Author Report Posted March 3, 2024 When installing head bolts, is any sealant used? Do the head bolts enter the water jacket? Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted March 3, 2024 Report Posted March 3, 2024 most all the bolts enter the water jacket.... Just for a laugh..............find a pair of binoculars, turn them backwards and when looking though, you will then be able to reach in with a pair of tweezers and lift the engine out, placing it in a match box for safe keeping. 2 Quote

I did as you recommend, and picked up an engine leveler. Thank you all for the guidance and information. I'm guaranteed to have a ton more questions when I try to put this car back together. 😵💫 Edited March 9, 2024 by rcl700 Quote
