Radiator removal quick question

I need to remove the radiator from my 47 Saratoga. I got started on it tonight and just asking a couple questions from some of you who have been there before. Got it drained and the bottom two bolts out through the wheel well. Looks as all that is left is two or three more up either side that I get to under the hood. Couple of them attach the hood brace also I believe. Remove the attached hoses and it should lift out. Seems simple enough just asking if I'm missing anything too avoid and surprises. Thanks

I have removed lots of those C39 huge odd shaped "8" cylinder radiators.

Yes you got the hidden lower bolts out...do the rest up the sides of the radiator yoke plus remove the two lower hood supports bolts-fold back out of the way. Support the hood with some other type of rod.

You also need to remove the factory fan shroud and fan.

Use a sheet of card board to protect the core from water pump hub contact damage.

These radiators are heavy.

I remove/install them using my engine hoist.

On my 48 plymouth at the bottom of the radiator I have a rubber piece that slides inside the bottom u channel and I had to get a pry bar to break it loose otherwise it seemed it was stuck or I had missed one of the bolts. Be careful these old radiators are pretty heavy and also if you don't have the fan blades out you might have to turn them in order to remove radiator

If you've got a pretty clogged up one you'll be amazed how much lighter it is when you get it back from being cleaned out.
