I need to remove the windshield frame from my 47 1/2 ton prior to painting the cab.  I pulled the windshield wiper door and I am not sure what I am looking at.  I read the bolts for the hinge were inside here but what I am looking at does not look like it would release the windshield.  Any guidance would be appreciated.  Are the circled screws what need to come out?

Yes those 4 and then the 2 at the tape for the opener will have it out.

Agreed to what Young Ed said. Use a big screw driver also for those 2 bolts on each side up there and don’t drop them inside!  Got a Magnet just in case?  Liquid wrench before you start so you don’t strip or damage those bolts. I just went through that misery. Ha

That for the feedback.  I am removing to have the cab painted.  Putting it back in is when I will need to be very careful about scratching paint.

With the elongated holes in the brackets you might want to take note or mark how everything lines up so there is less adjustment work to do reinstalling in a newly painted cab.

Excellent idea!  Take it a step further and use your smart phone to record the position.  Pics are great reminders, for a lot of the disassembly /reassembly process.  I wish I'd taken more.   That and labeled more bags of bolts.
