Autocrossing the '51 Plymouth at the GoodGuys Charlotte

Here I am on the course Saturday in Charlotte. I couldn't get enough of it. My lake pipes are groung flat from sliding the car around the corners. My best time was a 13.4 which wasn't far from the 11.5 the $100,000, vendor sponsored cars were doing.

I think it's great that GoodGuys allows us to enjoy our cars, wether it be the autocross or racing around the track, legally and for a very fair entry fee!

I had a killer time!

Listen to that Split Flat-6 screaming.

.............................kids having fun......................

what else can you say....last one of these I attended, a young kid showed up in an ex police Plymouth crusier...(E58-360) it was his first time on the course..he bested the Mustangs..smoke poured off the rear tires as he went around ..it was great...the twangers did not like him for some reason.

Ron;

I lucked out. When I drove your car last month I did some autocrossing and smashed your lakes pipes. I thought sure would say something to me. Now you think you did it so I can skate:D

Looks like you had a ball. Bet you made more noise than all the others.

Thanks alot guys. I figured you would appreciate it. I had an absolute blast. I had many people comment on the way that it sounds. People were telling me they could here mine, while we were doing the track cruise, over everyone else.

I opened alot of eyes to the sights and sounds of a Plymouth Flat-6.

Thanks again,

Congratulations on your cars being selected for an article in "OL SKOOL RODZ". Brendan.

Brendan,

Thank you for noticing. My wife was the lovely blonde in her DeSoto. She was more than pleased. It was a well written article. I was a bit surprised that it was more about our relationship than the cars but he was dead on.
