JBNeal Posted November 3, 2021 Report Posted November 3, 2021 The original cast pieces had varying quality as well...from a manufacturing standpoint, the casting looks good on paper but there is a cheaper, more reliable way to make this part that doesn't involve special tooling just to chuck it up in a lathe...at any rate, once the part is all buttoned up, the imperfections won't be readily seen 1 Quote

Just surprised me..all of the other parts to their PCV system look newly made from modern fittings. Quote

Loren Posted November 3, 2021 Report Posted November 3, 2021 I bought one too. It is in fact off-center. The casting is made that way. I have seen originals and they are off-center too. So the part is okay. However, (and you knew this was coming) if I had designed it the threaded hole would be off-center the other way. When you put cast aluminum valve chamber covers on they interfere with the casting. Was 1 21/64", the same as some freeze plugs. Again, thanks.. Quote

Power Wagons were equipped from the factory with PCV systems, and considering that I've had mine for over 30 years, and it sat mostly unused for the prior 20 years, I suspect it's original to the truck. Having said this, it seems that an off-center piece, while not perfect, may work well enough. 1 Quote

All okay, just the guy telling me it was NOS and made that way back then irks me. Probably made in India and they got a bunch of them off center Quote

Just noticed on a $156 order it was $34 shipping.plus not even impressed with the PCV valve that came with it. A lot of modern valves you can suck/blow on it and there is no air passing one way. This valve sounds like metal, blows one way no resistance and sucks with about 1/2 flow no matter what angle you hold it.. Quote
