55 Fargo Posted August 3, 2007 Report Posted August 3, 2007 Hi Greg, how do you like this number, it was even higher a couple of days ago, it was 97 with a humidex factor of 111, and a blanket of haze over us. Winter will be here all too soon...........Fred PS we can send you giant blood thirsty west nile infected skeeters, horse flies, and noseeums, if you like:D Quote
greg g Posted August 3, 2007 Author Report Posted August 3, 2007 Tim send anything you feel like rounding up. I'll just leave em outside while I enjoy the AC indoors. Supposed to go to a car show tonight but I dunno. Tomorrow suposed to be 82, that is about my limit. Quote
Brad Lustig Posted August 3, 2007 Report Posted August 3, 2007 60% humidity? Aww that's nuthin! That weather would be considered a cold snap around here. Actually, our humidity is high right now because it's raining, but our temperature has been in the 80's for the past couple weeks. Several days were low 80's as the high temperature. Been too cold to swim a few days. Quote

Don Coatney Posted August 3, 2007 Report Posted August 3, 2007 When I went to the bank a few minutes ago the sign said 99F Humidity is a bit lower than it has been. I also planned to go to the Boro Friday night doins and take the grandkids who are still hanging around but with this temperature I might reconsider and hang out in the conditioned air. Quote
blueskies Posted August 3, 2007 Report Posted August 3, 2007 Fortunately, we don't have the humidity... But it's been damn hot here. July was the hottest in Ketchum, Idaho since they started keeping records in 1940. The heat coupled with the heavy smoke from all of the fires burning in the state are making for a very uncomfortable season... The smoke is so thick when the wind is blowing this way that the mountains dissapear and it gets dark mid day. Ugh. Here's a shot of Idaho yesterday- The bright white areas are cloud cover, the rest is smoke from the fires. Looking forward to snow. I love that we get four distinct seasons, because when I get tired of the current one, I can always count on the next. Pete Quote

1just4don Posted August 4, 2007 Report Posted August 4, 2007 We dont get the oppressive humidity the south gets,,,but it did get to 82% last week with temps in the high 90's,,usually gets over 100 for a week or two most every summer!! 25% would be a gravy train,,,and 60-70 is probably more normal!! We get the south trade winds pumping up the humid stuff off the gulf!! Most summers its ALL that keeps the corn growing. It was 4th dryest June and July in history!!! 4-5 inches below normal rain. AnD normally we dont get much that time of year except maybe first week or two of June. have known it when didnt get a drop from middle of June till middle of Sept. Just humidity and dew is all things have to live on!! Quote
Don Coatney Posted August 4, 2007 Report Posted August 4, 2007 6 more days till retirement. Ha, I got you beat by a long shot. Not exact but I have somewhere around 2027 days until retirement. That is unless I switch to hauling shine to California and back haul some stash:rolleyes: Quote
