Branded Posted February 5, 2017 Report Posted February 5, 2017 (edited) SMS can supply hard to find material but, word of caution they are extremely slow. They'll get your money and you wait. I've read reviews on the internet sites of folks waiting up to 16 months for their product. Definitely don't have them sew anything up for you. I had a very bad experience with a carpet I had them make and sew. like I said spend some time and search the Internet for reviews on SMS, there are some real horror stories out there. knuckleharley Posted February 5, 2017 Report Posted February 5, 2017 There is always LaBaron Bonney. They only make repop interior kits for 1939 to 1941 Plymouths, but I'm guessing you could buy the correct material from them and have a local upholstery shop do the sewing. http://www.lebaronbonney.com/ Quote
jpart2bj Posted February 5, 2017 Author Report Posted February 5, 2017 yea, heard about SMS. And I thought about Lebron Bonney too. Doesn't leave much out there. I was hoping for a kit of some kind. I'll keep researching. Thanks for the replies. Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted February 5, 2017 Report Posted February 5, 2017 exact materials are very expensive and only a few companies have the capital to stock these for resale...you are looking at a very costly interior in the long run...I wish I could point you to a good alternate choice but I cannot...I would not rule out going to a better trimmer in your area and sit down and discuss your car with them, often they can get the material and sew/install your interior at a better price and well ahead of any mail order kit...do wish you the best Quote
oldmopar Posted February 6, 2017 Report Posted February 6, 2017 You could try one of the supplies of cars like ford and chevy cars of that era had similar features, while you may not find a 100% exact match you should be able to come close. Below is a link to macautoparts that sells mostly ford and they do have a good selection of seat headliner material not sure if they sell a premade seat cover. macsautoparts.com Quote
JerseyHarold Posted February 6, 2017 Report Posted February 6, 2017 It may sound far-fetched, but have you tried Packard upholstery suppliers? Briggs made bodies for them as well and I've seen some body hardware on Packards that is very Plymouth-like, so maybe that goes for upholstery also. Quote
