Have u discovered the cubic inches of the engine ?   What kind of wheels do you have ? Charlie Stephenson

I haven't found out what ci of engine i have yet. All i can tell about the wheels is they are the split rim style. I haven't been up there for a week. Is the truck in your profile picture a semi? I like the ride height and location of  fuel tank. Is there any other difference besides engine, and frame between that and a 1 1/2 ton

Has anybody done a 12 volt conversion with one of those alternaters that looks like a generator. I think i saw it on summit racing and was wondering if they are any good.

I have another question. Has anybody thought of having a tachometer? Where would you put one so it looks ok? And is it even possible with a generator?

I like that. How do you hook one up to a generator?

hooks up to the coil, not the geni.

Ok thank you. I know on the older diesels you hook it to the alternator.

Many vehicles/machinery had the tach to the gauge by a mechanical connection similar to a speedo cable. Cars had some early tachs by cable and hooked to the generator or other mechanical driven connection point,  cam/cam driven gear/ mag. /etc. . My friends 62 Vette was hooked to the distributor as the mechanical hookup which not uncommon in that era.

Does anybody on here know how to use leading for body filler instead of bondo. Eastwood sells a kit and I thought about trying to learn. I know bondo is easier, but doesn't leading have more benefits?
