Just wondering how members of the forum feel about fenderskirts.

Norm, some Merc Cruiser style skirts (flat or bubble) on your wagon would really be cool. Then those two Hooters girls would be beggin ya for a ride.

Currently have the bubble style on my 41 but would like to try the flush mount.

I'd like to have bubbles or custom cruisers on mine..... but to me it depends on the car and the styling.... some things just don't fit.... IMHO

I like skirts on coupes or convertibles.

But I think they can make sedans look a little 'back-heavy'.

I like skirts on all cars from the 60's and older, regardless of body style. However you do need to fit the skirt to the car. IMHO some cars look better with flush mount and some with over the fender mount. When it comes to 4 door cars, IMHO they usually look better with flush mount skirts.

This poll is shaping up to read most people like skirts one way or another. But.....in the end, it's all up to the eye of the beholder. You either like em or you don't. Just like all the other add on items you can put on a car.

i like them alot on any car, flush mount better. did they ever make them for my 54 windsor? if so, are they available anywhere? because of the splash/stone guards they need to be flush mount. dennis:mad:

Heeeyy, pretty fancy 'flaps' there Lee. I have some white ones with an embossed design, but no reflectors. Guess if I looked around a while I might could find some to add. (I'm so old I remember those from the '50s.)

Try Agape in Evansville, IN. http://www.skirtsandvisors.com/ They make reproduction skirts for all cars. If they don't have yours they can probably make them if you send them a pattern. His skirts are all steel.

That's where mine came from. They do a nice job. I just need to get some paint mixed.
