Bingster Posted March 6, 2016 Report Posted March 6, 2016 I've been looking at spark plug wires sets and am wondering which is a good set to buy? I don't need OEM or NOS. Quote
mopar_earl Posted March 6, 2016 Report Posted March 6, 2016 (edited) I used Pertronix brand from Summit. High quality wires. They were the universal 6 cylinder set. They are dual path and have a lifetime warranty. Very nice wires. Don't recall what I paid for them but they weren't expensive. My Napa ones were arching to ground and would shock ya good. Don Coatney Posted March 6, 2016 Report Posted March 6, 2016 I bought these several years ago but I have not yet installed them. Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted March 6, 2016 Report Posted March 6, 2016 I am running the same ones as you picture Don..albeit they have been on ther a few years and are a tad less flexable than when new..they seems to have hardened a bit but as I have not need to mess with them I am sure they will last for some time to come. At least till my next scheduled tune up in 2020 Quote
Tom Skinner Posted March 7, 2016 Report Posted March 7, 2016 I ran my first set of tractor Supply Wires for 6 years. Great Wires. Quote
Labrauer Posted March 7, 2016 Report Posted March 7, 2016 I need to chime in here and ask if the wires should be of the graph kind and not the copper wire ones. I hear that the copper center plug wires interfere with the radio. Is this true? Thanks Larry Quote

I hear that the copper center plug wires interfere with the radio. Is this true? Thanks Larry They will, at least on the AM side, and they will also mess with Pertronix ignition setups or any based on a magnetic impulse signal for triggering. That's one of the reasons you saw the extra condenser on the side of coils, to reduce the static the steel wires created. Edited March 7, 2016 by Dave72dt Quote
CoronetGuy Posted March 8, 2016 Report Posted March 8, 2016 I used a universal connector & boot kit from Speedway Motors. Then used Mr. Roadster Red translucent wire. (also purchased from Speedway) Then cut and assembled them on the car for a perfect fit. Quote
