Plymouthy Adams Posted December 5, 2015 Report Posted December 5, 2015 neither...just stating I would rather put a dollar or two in a car for a low entry and be able to sell if I so chose for a profit..what with the zero return on your money in a bank or CD....it is hard to go wrong..but you do have to buy the right units for the right price....wallet full, barn full, plate full...life too short..I am talking cars that are low production hand built units...these you seek out and snarf when you can.. LODI3QTR Posted December 5, 2015 Report Posted December 5, 2015 (edited) I've had my '50 Plymouth up to ?. The speedo said 70 but my friend said he was doing 80 and couldn't keep up. I guess with the new tires on it the speedo is off quite a bit. I'll have to have someone pace me to calibrate it so I don't get Ticket$$$$.... Edited December 5, 2015 by LODI3QTR Quote

mopar_earl Posted December 5, 2015 Report Posted December 5, 2015 They have speed apps for smart phones as well. That's what I used as my GPS is very old and the battery won't hold long enough to check my speedo. The app I used is called digihud speedometer. Earl 1 Quote

Niel Hoback Posted December 6, 2015 Report Posted December 6, 2015 I use a Garmin GPS on 6 volts. Reverse the polarity of a cigar lighter by insulating the case from the dash and power the center from the dash metal. They run on 5.2 volts so the power cord only drops the voltage a bit. 3 Quote
