deathbound Posted January 7, 2016 Report Posted January 7, 2016 I'm sure I am being repetitive here but who sells the most faithful repro of the brass tube? Not sure if you need 1 for a long or short block, but here is a NOS (not repop) for a long block (not cheap): http://www.ebay.com/itm/37-38-39-40-41-42-46-47-48-49-50-68-L6-Brass-Water-Distribution-TUBE-NOS-MoPar-/140768281185?hash=item20c6718261:m:mqfpOoerwmjXEZyx7Lqb9cQ&vxp=mtr I bought a brass 1 from the same seller a few years ago for my short block, not quite a pricey, though. pflaming Posted January 7, 2016 Report Posted January 7, 2016 I bought mine, which I haven't used, from Vintage Power Wagons, I do not think it is brass, bot wouldn't concern me, the replacement tube will outlast me by decades. Quote
belvedere Posted January 7, 2016 Report Posted January 7, 2016 I have not been able to find a brass tube for my 230. Quote
Phil363 Posted January 7, 2016 Report Posted January 7, 2016 (edited) I'm sure I am being repetitive here but who sells the most faithful repro of the brass tube? http://hagensautoparts.com/pricesheet/engine%2C%20water%20distribution%20tube/ This is the only vendor (other than some on EBay) where I have found Brass WDT's ... looks like Hagen's has Brass and Steel for the 23 and 25 inch flathead six heads. Recommend you give them a call or e-mail to confirm the fit. They are a little pricey ... Like the others here I just went with the steel from a vendor here on this website ... Dodgeb4ya Posted January 7, 2016 Report Posted January 7, 2016 this is what the rebuilder did with my engine 10 or 12 years ago , except he put in a small freeze plug and didn't thread the hole . Own a Chrysler car with a straight "8". They have a core plug behind the WDT. Only problem is there are no NOS WD tubes to be found Quote

I would agree with that as well. deathbound Posted January 9, 2016 Report Posted January 9, 2016 (edited) Here's a brass 1 for a long block, less than 1/2 the price of the link I posted recently. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1936-54-CHRYSLER-DESOTO-6-CYLINDER-WATER-DISTRIBUTION-TUBE-116-/401049421190? *EDIT* I confirmed with the seller that it is brass, but not the length, though it says Chrysler De Soto....I have no affiliation with the seller. Bingster Posted January 9, 2016 Report Posted January 9, 2016 You mean that they used the same tube from 1935-1972? Quote

This item was relisted and I contacted the seller and it is 25 1/2 in length. Really is a good price from what I have seen ... Quote
