Don Coatney Posted March 21, 2015 Report Posted March 21, 2015 Just 50 guys and a bit of assembly. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V2D3k0sJ8HM Quote
TodFitch Posted March 21, 2015 Report Posted March 21, 2015 I suppose that if I found a factory crated thunderbolt ready for assembly it would be pretty easy to come up with 50 people who would be willing to assist in getting it together. Notice the lack of any torque wrench? There was one place where "two fingers on an 8" wrench" were specified". Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted March 21, 2015 Report Posted March 21, 2015 and after that..the wood is off to expand and enhance the remote living quarters Quote
Don Coatney Posted March 21, 2015 Author Report Posted March 21, 2015 I wonder how much better it would run with an optima battery, hot cam, and a T-5 Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted March 21, 2015 Report Posted March 21, 2015 you are speaking of the Jeep used in the film and not the plane..the Thnderbolt of limited production would do well with the set up ...them be an ugly car front to rear...I love the starter on the plane...no battery..no air...remember the B&S lawn mowers with the wind up spring and press to start feature...great if in tune...horrible if you have a problem....lol 1 Quote

I cobbled up a mower from parts of three different mowers back in 1970, and the damn thing was still running when I swore off mowing lawns (hay fever) forever about 1998. It was a 22" rotary with a stamped steel deck from the 1950's so it was heavy gage stuff. I There wasn't a single new part in that engine except maybe points, plug & condensor. Even the gaskets I just spray painted & re-used. Quote
