on the dodge vent glass..I am thinking that the best so called higher price is going to leave you with a bitter taste in your mouth and buyers remorse...sad part is...you may only have the one option...their attitude toward fit was basically as one counter guy told me, you should have bought a different car than a Mopar product..at the suggestion that I could send a nice example of an original DPCD marked item for proper reproductions the answer is..we got the best product already and trust me..the fit is horrible in comparison..I am not sure what other car they are a copy of but to say they are a copy of Mopar item is a stretch of the imagination and a full out leap beyond truth...it they went out of business tomorrow I would not shed any tear...

I bought them for two project in the past  from "cartpartjimm"  from ebay http://stores.ebay.com/carpartjimm?_trksid=p2047675.l2563

I have dealt with Andy burn my butt on other matters so that wasn't an option.  Maybe I just got lucky and I didn't see steele rubber at the time.

Who are you talking about plymouthy adams ?  be nice to know to have them on the steer clear list.

carpartjumm has no listing for vent rubber seal on the Dodge...Steele...they have the worse attitude toward Mopar as any company I can think of at the present...while the 54 vent seals were SO SO and useable they were not without their problems on the install...the Dodge of the era in question..down right pathetic...

I have used both vendors and been pleased with both.  I use Andy's when I can for Chrysler part to support them as a vendor that specializes in part for our cars.  I feel that if we do not support them then they would go out of business and that would make it harder to work on our cars.  I have 3 other classics that i have bought parts ftom Steele and they are of goood quality.

Just my 2cents.......

Thanks to all for suggestions. I happen to find similar parts on Kanter website.

Has anyone used rubber parts from Kanter? If so, please write in about your experience.

I also think that Rich Hartung (sp.?) used somebody's rubber on his vent windows. He might have some input.  I was planning on using Steele.  I've heard so many things about Andy's on here that I have the opinion that their vent rubber would be somehow of lower quality. Maybe I'm wrong.  Or maybe it was just their brake cylinders.

Metro does rubber as well.

I used Andy B. vent window seals on our D24.  That was maybe 15 years or so ago.  Installed an Andy B. cowl vent seal and trunk weather-strip a little over 20 years ago.  No issues with fit, finish, or durability on any of it.
