day three of the rain...it drizzled most of the morning but about 11 AM or so it really picked up its tempo and her it is 8 pm and she still has not relented a bit.

as a few here know have been upgrading my barn to have full enclosure and locking doors.  That was completed over the weekend and today with the poor weather did the rewiring of the lights to allow for a switch at each bay door for that bay.  Now I hope to be able to move cars to and from the main shop to my storage barn and have a higher level of security and protection from the elements.

dig and set concrete thresholds, modified opening for dog ear doors and of course cutting welding the door halves..and then to skinning the door and exposed wood with metal....

"A Rainy Day in Georgia". That would make a great song title but maybe change day to night! :P If it is still raining it would work. Projects look good.

That's looking pretty spiffy P.A.

The weather, and my job, have been keeping me indoors a lot. No work is getting done on the cars or bike or boat.

My Plymouth is outside under tarps, in pieces. Pieces are also in the garage. Pieces are in the Scout. Pieces are in my trailer. Pieces are under the boat. LOL

Mostly I've been working on my computer work bench and re-wiring the garage lighting for LED can lights in the ceiling it doesn't have yet.

And I'm fixing my benches up. After 12.5 years in this house I finally have a bench in the garage where I can fix computers and do electrical work. :D

Right now it's half occupied by 3 computers in various states. The other half holds the Plymouth dash, still completely wired.

I loosened the other ends of the wires and cables, and took the dash out completely intact, except for the glove box liner.

(That makes it lots easier to study how the dash was wired.)

Hmmm those pictures look familiar..lol. Good job Tim.....what brought this security to the fore front? Did someone enter without permission?

No Frank...have been very fortunate in that respect.  I needed more room for storage of vehicle to protect the work I have done to them as I rotate them in and out of the main shop.  So far the main shop is at max capacity and weather is such I do not even like rolling them out for just a few hours.  The room has always been there in the barn..just open to the elements and not in any manner a proper way to protect your work.  I hope I can now juggle a few things about and get some serious work done about the shop.  When I built the 40 x 40 addition to the left of the barn last spring I made doors as that end of the barn was just a little to easy for unwanted access...they turned out so nice I decided to enclose every bay.  It is a vast improvement in protection, looks and security.

its got a built in feature being galvanized...it will PATINA in time....but you right..when skinning the doors the light was quite bright...you would have to stop inside the garage and let your eyes adjust after screwing on the skins..

PP may have owned the matches..but I still say it was the cat that lit the fire...PP would have followed the instructions too closely..where it says close cover before striking.......he would do that every time and not get a fire........why........because it did not say remove match, close cover before striking

Can you post a photo of the back side of the dash instrument cluster?

Oh sure. I just have to move a few things around. I'm re-wiring the garage & everything's a mess right now.
