Skrambler Posted July 20, 2014 Report Posted July 20, 2014 In search of a through the wall coil for a 40/41 Plymouth. Wondering if any of you have heard of anyone that is re manufacturing them? I know that NAPA has the 6 Volt coils on the shelf, but they are not the style with the ignition wire that attaches at the base. Thanks all! Quote
greg g Posted July 20, 2014 Report Posted July 20, 2014 Have you tried any of the advertisers supporting this forum? You might also look to see if they are available through Atlas Obsolete, or Mitchell Motor Parts on the web. Quote
plyroadking Posted July 20, 2014 Report Posted July 20, 2014 I picked up a spare somewhere and carefully cut the mount off of it, the cut is on the bottom side out of sight, then i jb welded it to a new coil. Nobody would know except that i just told everyone, and the two terminals on top of the new coil. i had to delete the shielded ignition wire and hook it up like a more modern coil. Quote
