1940plymouth Posted February 23, 2014 Report Posted February 23, 2014 Taking advantage of the first real nice day in some time. Started the Plymouth, let her run, drove it around the dooryard for exercise, got a couple photos of Cooper and then we cooked on the grille for the first time this year. Life is good at the Drown household 2 Quote
LAKOTA169 Posted February 23, 2014 Report Posted February 23, 2014 I see Cooper dressed for the occasion. 1 Quote

Niel Hoback Posted February 23, 2014 Report Posted February 23, 2014 That Cooper is quite a guy! Handsome little devil, and he looks like he knows it, too! 1 Quote
Desotodav Posted February 23, 2014 Report Posted February 23, 2014 It's good to see you two out and about again Bob. Cooper looks good in a suit. 1 Quote
Dan Hiebert Posted February 24, 2014 Report Posted February 24, 2014 Thanks for sharing! ...and I used to think getting frostbite while grilling was a Michigan thing (One of those "you can tell someone's from Michigan" lists). BUT, I have to ask - "dooryard"? I'd love to add that to my repertoire of regionalisms, but I'm not sure what it is? 1 Quote
Don Coatney Posted February 24, 2014 Report Posted February 24, 2014 dooryard A Maine term for front yard or driveway. Boy: Who drove into the dooryard?Girl: Its my folks!Boy: Oh no!Girl: Quick! Put your clothes back on before they come in!! by Mel Function September 06, 2003 1 Quote
Dave72dt Posted February 24, 2014 Report Posted February 24, 2014 We grille year round although it does slow down during winter months. As long as it's not raining or the wind blowing hard, the grille is option for us. Only once last month, and none this month, yet. Polar vortex complications. Quote
1940plymouth Posted February 24, 2014 Author Report Posted February 24, 2014 Don has it right LOL I grew up in the northeast corner of NY with the Quebec Border about three miles north of us and Vermont about 20 miles or so to the east of us. Quote
Dan Hiebert Posted February 25, 2014 Report Posted February 25, 2014 "Dooryard" now added to my list of words or sayings that make people wonder where the heck I'm actually from! (You'uns have spread the bug - I'm grillin' this weekend regardless.) 1 Quote
