I did take a deep breath outside, damn near knocked me over.....LOL Listen anybody who lives in these severe cold temps, know that it is not just uncomfortable, or a nuisance, it is downright deadly dangerous weather. Tim I guarantee, I can handle much colder temps than you, but i am acclimatized to it, just like you can probably handle hot humid conditions better than Me, but i usually do okay in the heat. The truck door, Tim, you been watchin Me, I banged my head so frickin hard on that door opening on that truck i saw starts and stripes for cripes sakes. Now go plug in your electric blanket, and fugget about dis cold............LOL Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted January 6, 2014 Report Posted January 6, 2014 I knew something was wrong Fred... I will not challenge you on the cold....I have no need to be that far north for any reason that I can think of now or in wildest dream... I tell you...I will not even drive north to attend a family funeral.....not that I cannot drive in the snow, not that I cannot dress for the clime...it is just that I flat out am not going to be in the area or take any single car I own to the land of salt...that is about as stupid to me as buying a 4 wheel drive truck and purposely driving it through a mud hole.....as you can see....I either am all grown up now...or way over the top...either way..if I see no need in something that something will not be done..I started the 54 up today...let it run for a bit...thought about driving it a bit...but looked at it..saw that it ran, the wheels were not flat..so what do I have to prove..nothing....shut if off and closed the garage door...went for a walk instead. Sounds like you had a good day Tim. BTW, right now it's far too cold for any salt to do anything, roads are either dry, or snow and ice remnants to dang cold to have any effect on vehicles, it's in those areas where the temps are closer to the freezing point, or at least above 0f, that salt is a problem. Hmmm, I dunno Tim, starting the old Plymouth, and not taking it out of the driveway, kinda reminds me of a good friend of P15 D24, who once lived in the Milwaukee area, he was a true gent.. Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted January 6, 2014 Report Posted January 6, 2014 I hope with the latest build I will develop a desire to drive it..it is being built for daily use...with the 54 if I drive it fine...if not also fine... Quote
pflaming Posted January 6, 2014 Report Posted January 6, 2014 Low temps this week around mid 30's with the highs in the mid 60's and no rain or snow in sight. At current snow levels we will get 20% of normal water for our farmers and cities. Only 3" in 2013. Bad news! May have to mow the lawn this weekend or get a goat. Quote
