Sorry for some duplication on the 40 convertible.  Somehow I managed to miss the posts from Bill and Tony about it.

I read all the posts on the HAMB on it's construction, then showed them to my son in law tonight.  He found the story

interesting, as well.

There are many cars out there that either never were, or modifications of things like making a four door sedan into a

convertible and so on.  I find them fun to look at and to try to tell what was done.

IF anyone has any more things they want to add.......carry on and enjoy.  Thanks for participating.

thought I would add one more to the scene...just bumped into this on another forum...different...a bit of down under success I am certain had it been made in number..

Looks like a horse truck to me.

I like this thread......Its interesting the line between "looks like it could be factory"  vs. "I made this thing up"

And.........there are numerous trucks (Ranchero, El Camino style things) made out of cars.  There's one around here nicely

made from a 49 or 50 Ford.  Have seen quite a few others also over the years.

Then there is this mini 57 Chevy thing.......mounted on a Mazda Miata........owned by a fellow I know.  Not too fond of it

though.
