I'm a newbie to this site, but so far I am really enjoying it.I'm not sure wether I should post pictures or just stay quite and use the information I find.lol The reason I say that is because I am in the process of building a 1950 B2B pickup but it's highly modified and I haven't seen modifeds on here,so I was thinking maybe it's taboo on this site.I ran across this truck about 9 months ago and a fellow had already started some work on it,so when I got the truck the front of the frame had already been cut out and the rest of the truck was disasembled. But I really liked the body style and wanted to build it as a hobby. So at this time it's sitting on a Camaro sub frame with an S10 rear end.And this is the part where I'll get all the boos, I know.lol But yes it's running a 350/350 combo. The rear of the frame is "C" notched .10 inches. It has all new glass,P/S,P/B.new wiring harness.I'm into the body work now trying to get it ready to squirt some paint on .With me it's use what you got availble to stay within my buget.I'm definately learning as I go.But if this is an original site only, just let me know.

I am also new to the site.  It's great to see that a lot of you guys are from NC on here too.  I started way back when I was younger restoring a 50 Five window and it has stalled out as I lost interest and left for college.  Now that I have settled back in home, I have had this itch to complete the restoration, and also work on another 52 that is in much better shape.  I plan on keeping the 50 original, but the 52 I plan on modifying quite a bit, so I would love to see pictures of your truck.  I'm looking forward to learning and contributing on this site.

Well I would love to see some pics. I have only just joined I was also concerned that there seem to be lots of pristine restorations going on, I want to leave mine as close as I can to when it was dragged out of the farm!

Welcome to the site and like people have said before me there are originals and modified trucks on here so you're more than welcome. I'm modifying my '52 quite a bit also and members here have been great with tons of support and answers to my questions. This is a really friendly place to be and glad i found it, heck im glad you found it too, the more pilothouse fans the better! Sounds like your truck is going to be a pretty bad a** rig  :D

Yes 48,that was me,great video! I got there by searching youtube for anything about old Dodge trucks.Looks like a good time for all.I would love to see a complete Pilot House that was all together.Since mine was torn apart when I bought it every thing is a guessing game to put it back together,

fishing with gizzards and livers were the natural choice of baits for lake catfish up north where I was raised...so you just made sure that the bait was of the correct aroma to "entice" a otherwise content to lay on the bottom catfish.

As for modified and restored and those in between, like all forums on a specific make you have those who are going to build it their way regardless..so with that there is no need to be concerned.   Plenty like the whole as new package, other like the body as factory newer upgrades to the engine/chassis, other like stock but with period minded upgrades for performance and other like to do the entire body /chassis makeover..each vehicle talks to the owner in ins own manner...99% see the truck and in a split second can envision it one way over the other and thence it particular makeover..
