Hello, I am new to forums and am not sure how to do things. Have I started this right and will responses (if any) follow my post and is this post plus responses called a thread? Is a new post started at the top initially of all posts and moved down as later new posts arrive? What are tags and smilies and icons for? Thanks

Hello this is Jon and this is a very friendly type forum that has lots of information about our old mopars. Don't worry about doing something wrong or asking stupid questions because we all do that. Most of the time if you have a question concerning your rig ask it someone here will be back at you in a few minutes. There are a lot of people here that love there old Mopars and really do know them backwards and forwards. As for the smiles just go ahead and use them if you want to as it kind of interesting to see what a person is feeling at the time of his question or answer. Like here:cool:

if'n ya wanna go crazy, click on User CP on the upper left of the page, below the P15-d24 logo; on the next page, scroll down to Edit Options: there's all kinds of stuff there, such as being to view the threads in Linear Mode, with the last post shown first.

Hi and Welcome. As your post ages, it goes down the list.....but when a

new comment it added, it returns it to the top (for a while). Feel free to asik

questions on any topic.....someone usually knows something. You might

try to figure out how to post a picture.....that's often helpful when we can

see what part or area you're referring to. I first place my pictures in the

PhotoBucket website, then transfer them to here. Other photo hosting

sites work equally well, so it seems.

The biggest thing on this site is the very knowledgable and friendly people that are here. I may not have a bone stock old Mopar, but if I get stuck on something that I need an answer for, there are many guys here who can help point you in the right direction.

BTW .........am a Mopar guy but mine's just not all stock.

Hi,I'm Rodney I have a 1940 Plymouth coupe. It's great to see a new maryland forum member. This is a great site for your mopar. Most of the local forum members try to get together when ever we can, be it local shows or if we can help in any way. Alot of the members from all around have made a special trip to meet up here so feel free to ask questions and introduce yourself.:) how about a pic of your car.

Hi all I'm new to the fourm...I've been coming here for refrence for a few years. I've got a 47 coupe that was already treated to a SBC/TH350/Ford 9" swap before I got it. I'm looking to make the front end upgrades so I decided I needed to be able to get more in depth here to get the details I wanted.

I'm having trouble with the threads...When I open them its giving me the latest post first. Since I'm new I'd like to be able to start with the oldest post first. I'm sure theres a way to do this, I just haven't found it yet.

Any way thanks for the help in advance!

Welcome aboard!

To change the oldest/newest message first setting, go to the menu ribbon at the top. All the way to the left, select "user CP", and go to "Edit Options", scroll down to "Thread Display Options", the setting you want to change is "Thread Display Mode".

Good luck!

PS We'd like to hear more about, and see some pictures of, your car!

Welcome.....this forum has tons of info. With all the replies, surprised nobody suggested using the "search" function prior to asking questions..........chances are, it's been covered.:) Ditto...pics of your car/truck are always welcome.

Should also note when writing about forum features and how to use them, that the site owner will be rolling out a new version of everything tomorrow. So even those of us that think we know how to use the forum may be beginners again tomorrow afternoon or evening.
