4 wire signal switch schematic or am I correct

I did use the search but couldn't find the answer. I have a 4 wire signal switch. I have seperate lamps front and rear for the signal function.

The switch has a green wire right side signals, yellow wire, left side signals, red power through the flasher, and black. Is the back wire a main ground for the switch assembly?

Also the flasher I have is a three pole, power in and power out to the switch, the third one, if I remember correctly, powers a dash board indicator which will not be used as the switch assembly has a repeater on it.

So Am I barking up the right tree here or did I miss something???

Greg..using separate lamps will make the use of this switch very easy..and you are "grounded" in you fundamentals..here is a quick link to a hotrod wiring for simplified turn signals..may or may not be of help to you..

nope had it checked. I finally found my Studebaker manual, and it says that the 4 wire switchis wird as follows;

red left side signals

green right side signals

black pilot light

yellow power

Seems a bit wierd but I will give it a shot, I do not believe my switch assembly is factory or factory/dealer option but it has those color wires. So what the hey!!

Hey got signals front and rear and the actually flash. No repeater but that minor. The wiring was as I first suspected, red was power in, green is right lights, yellow is left lights. Just gotta clean thing us and make permanent clean connections, I just twisted them together to check for operation. Next thing is the e brake cable. then the hood then its streetable.

But we are going camping next week, then have to take a trip to Michigan on the weekend for a famil matter. Hope Canada is open....
