I gave my wife a chance to see what I could get for free and bring it home but she just doesn't understand why I would like such an object! Hay you guys don't you just think this would make an excellent project and make your neighbors just happy to have it out front! Jon:D

Depending on the size of ones front yard, the result might be "what front yard?" with such a monsters taking residence.

That's a thing of beauty!!!

In the back yard, painted nicely with a little picket fence and some pavers leading to the door and fixed up as a guest house or bunk house for grandkids.

Hell, Jay Leno hot rodded one similar...

There are some cool looking old busses......not sure about this one. If I had plenty play money, it would be fun to re-do an old bus. But that will likely not happen.

I like the scalloped wing trim above the door. The short windows look a little Department of Corrections. But a lot of it looks like it would buff out.....

Cummings turbo diesel might make it affordable to move around a bit.

Hey Norm, you could be a real pal and let him store it at your house for a bit..say about 9 months, free inside storage for you...

Tim,

Don't need the storage space that bad. Plus, if he bought it I would not want him to be deprived of the opportunity to start having all that fun restoring it right away. Therefore, he should take it to his own house where he can really enjoy it right away.

Now, on the other hand. I would be happy to store it for 9 months for anyone, provided they first build me a BIGnew garage to put it in.:D

Hey Tim, you don't know how true that statement is around here lately. At their last meeting they were talking about people having old cars sitting in their driveways. Not me, only have my everyday van in the driveway and the other two are in the garage. However, I went to the city's web site and checked out the guy who has a P15 coupe sitting in his driveway. Actually on the side of the driveway on the grass. It's been sitting there for years and he rarely works on it. Looks like he rarely works on it too. I did stop by a couple of times in the past 12 years to try to get him going, but....... Anyway, I guess someone complained about it being an eyesore so the city wrote him up for parking it on the grass and having no license plates (code violations) on it about a year ago. Car is still on the grass but he did hang a license plate on the front. Looks like it's just wired to the bumper because one side is hanging down. He's got an industrial flathead in it and it will run. However, don't stand too close in the summer. Has wasp nest in it. You can see them going in and out of the rusted quarter panel. He lives just a few blocks from me.

Did I say I LIKE it?? What motor and tranny does it have?? Some old metro busses have brand new engines in them when the time comes to replace them. It all goes, whatever is there.

AFTER I could remove those,,,"How much would it weigh???"

"IF" its free the price is tolerable.

IF no use for the motor tranny,,,"IT weighs 'more'!!!"

you have a way to check on your neighbors' property? i don't know if i like the sound of that. too many people with nothing to do but mind your business for you, do just that already. that's why i bought a house on a cul-de-sac... and i still got Nosey Parkers crawling by at 5mph trying to get a glimpse behind my fence. i'll tell you what; i'll never EVER buy inside city limits again; if i move, i'm going RURAL to the extreme. maybe live in one of those buses....
