Plymouthy Adams Posted December 31, 2011 Report Posted December 31, 2011 Sounds like the makings for a nice event..probably going to be rather cold. Our next big event is in first part of February..and being on the tramac of a old airport..it gets cold there fast..slight breeze and you freeze..have not missed an event in years though..its fun time whether I find any deals out there or not..find me some glass for 54 Morris Minor split window 2 door sedan.. greg g Posted December 31, 2011 Report Posted December 31, 2011 I believe this is an indoor event in one of the Exposition (Fairground) sites buildings. If some folks think about going, I'd drive over. Its about a 3.5 hour juant. Quote
wallytoo Posted December 31, 2011 Report Posted December 31, 2011 yes, an indoor event, at the Big "E". just like the model railroader event at the same location, and other events. Quote
Mark D Posted January 1, 2012 Author Report Posted January 1, 2012 Yeah that's right, an indoor event. Perfect to chase away the winter blahs and welcome in February. I'll be there Greg, might even try to find a room Saturday night if you want to do two days. Quote
Mark D Posted January 18, 2012 Author Report Posted January 18, 2012 It's this weekend folks. I'm planning on an early run out on Saturday morning. Any one out there want to share the ride? Greg you planning on attending? Quote
busycoupe Posted January 18, 2012 Report Posted January 18, 2012 I went a few years ago. It was OK for a day out to fight cabin fever, but I didn't see much for our cars. Most of the stuff was for 60's muscle cars and newer. There were some tool vendors there if your looking for something. I'd go again, but it is a long ride from NC! Dave Quote
greg g Posted January 18, 2012 Report Posted January 18, 2012 not on my radar. Don't have any requirements. Quote

Mark D Posted January 19, 2012 Author Report Posted January 19, 2012 Chet - I'll keep my eyes open for you. Will post a few pictures when I get back. Hearing now the weather might be snowy, should make for a nice day out. Quote

Mark D Posted January 19, 2012 Author Report Posted January 19, 2012 I'll keep a watch out for anything p15. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted January 19, 2012 Report Posted January 19, 2012 Sounds like fun. Don't have any early meets I know of around here in MO. It's true, usually not much for a P15 at most meets these days, but -- you never know who might have a few goodies we can use. Once in a while I get lucky. Quote
busycoupe Posted January 19, 2012 Report Posted January 19, 2012 Mark, here is another winter flea market that is small, but pretty good. It is run by the Model A restorers club and although it is heavy on Model A stuff, it has a lot of old parts, literature, etc. I bought a Motors Manual, some bumper bolts, and few other things there 2 years ago. It is held in a bus company garage and there is even a small museum run by the bus company owner. - Get there early, they start packing up by 10:30.
