bigbry230 Posted November 21, 2011 Author Report Posted November 21, 2011 Hi aero, I live in Brooklyn, and the car is located in staten island, about 15 or so miles from me. I am most likely going to be keeping the car in connecticut, but there is a possibility that i'll seek storage close to me, as my street is residential. where are you located? Quote
Frank Elder Posted November 21, 2011 Report Posted November 21, 2011 I'm sorry, I wasn't trying to be a tire kicker, just trying to make an informed decision. i'm 21 years old, so spending this amount of money on a car is a big decision. didn't mean to be a nag about it...Your'e doing fine, I've got you by a couple of years:eek:and that's a lot of money to me too:) Quote

mrwrstory Posted November 23, 2011 Report Posted November 23, 2011 I've lost track of where you are on the purchase and on the price. My advice if you are still in negotiations is; If you like it and you're only $400 apart, that's only 5%.....less than the sales tax, I bet, don't let that be the reason for letting it go. I say buy it and figger the diff. is amortized over the period you own it. Also, you'll kick yourself for letting it go for that small diff. Good luck! Quote
greg g Posted November 23, 2011 Report Posted November 23, 2011 Hey bill the sales tax rate for NY state is 4% and NYC charges 4,875 or 8.875% so nearly another grand. Quote

Plymouthy Adams Posted January 10, 2012 Report Posted January 10, 2012 (edited) was curious to the car myself and if he made a move one way or the other, I know of at least two cars he has kicked the tires on...seems to have wandered off in search of a third...maybe even a differnt make..this would probably been a real good deal..
