Bob,

Will you be in before winter hits ?

Chet...

Hard to say, Chet. The builder once said maybe by December.

Our outlook is......it'll be done when it's done. Whenever.....

At least this house we're living in in Anderson, MO has a drive in

basement, so I have a place to use as a workshop/garage to

tinker with stuff.

Bob thats a good attitude to have. Rushing will only make for a crappier job.

some of that is the Mohawk river and Erie canal about 60 miles east of us in Syracuse.

the Schoharie creek is the same creek that brought down a throuway bridge about 12/15 years ago, after a pier was underscoured. about 60 miles of I 90 is closed where it paralles the Mohawk.

Those folks I mentioned yeaterday are still in VT.

They are directing people traveling east toward albany to take I 81 south to binghamton,65 niles then take I 88 north east 150 miles adding about 200 miles to the trip . Apparently people have totlly forgotten US 20, the main east west road before I90. same miles but about a half hour more travel time. Guess folks are just addicted to interstates.

We survived the storm, no one hurt and no damage to the house. The eye passed about 2o miles east of us. We had 12 hours of 60-90 mph winds and got 13 inches of rain. We lost a few trees. Our power went out early sat morning and just came back on mon eve around 7:30. Lots of people stll without power. The old Dodge will just have to wait until we clean up the yard.

I think so......as far as I can tell.

Hopefully will have enough $$ left over to build a detached two car

garage also.

Bob;

Did you not have a "say" in the new house floor plan? If that is the garage it looks rather small?

The original plan says the garage is 23 x 27. Don't know if he's making

it any larger or not. He did expand the square footage some from the

original.

The house is supposed to look about like this.......only with the garage on the other side.

There is a covenant in my deed that stipulates the size of a garage, and further stipulates that there is a limit of three bays. So if I were to put up anything else, it would have to be a "workshop" and could only have 1 garage style door. Or I could build a new two car garage, and remove a door from my current one and make it a workshop.

This was done in the 60's and no one can remember why, but its still in place. Each bay can be no larger than 12 by 22.

Gotta love the New York and/or local regulations. Is there a height restriction too? Pictured is a garage I added to my house in Ohio. It was 62 feet long and wrapped around the back of the house. I even had hot and cold running water and I added a urinal. Used a two barrell wood stove for heat. This picture was taken after I sold the house. Garage size can make or brake a deal when I buy a house.

One of my favorite motersickle rides is around the Ashokan Reservoir to West Shokan,Peekamoose Road to Frost Valley Road to Big Indian.Rt 28 to Phonicia,Rt 214 to Hunter and then north to Rt 30 to Rt 28 to the Papecten Reservoir.Stop at The Old School House for ah, lunch.Over to Rt 17 to Rt 55 back over Peekamoose and maybe home, maybe not. Been thru Grahamsville many times. Never saw any crackers.

You have driven right past my house in Neversink on your way from Liberty to Peekamoose. I live in the house just before the firehouse on the same side of the road as you go thru town. The next time you drive thru, you are more than welcomed to stop in.

I've attached a photo that I took this Spring on the Frost Valley Rd.

Right now both the Frost Valley Rd and Peekamoose roads are closed due to flooding from Irene and the rain again today. I have also attached a photo of the Neversink Res that I took a photo of around 5pm this afteroo.
