A couple more photos to share from the weekend.

Wife worked all day Sunday, so I managed to devote myself to getting the skirts on the car and also took care of a few other odds 'n ends. Managed to debug my self out of a non-starting situation with the help of confidence building conversation from "Moose_", then put about 35 miles on the odo cruising round the area.

Photos are taken at the "Bullfinch church" in Lancaster, MA., The sanctuary is still heated by two wood-stoves in the winter, the smoke from which travels the length of the sanctuary via stove pipes which transfer their heat to the space throughout the building. The pastor doesn’t need a microphone because the room is acoustically perfect. The Bell in the church steeple was cast by Paul Revere. My wife's family attends services here. It's a truly New England experience.

The other is taken from one of our hilltop roads here in Bolton, MA. Westerly views in the background are of Wachusett Mountain the Berkshire hills. It's amazing to drive by this stuff everyday and forget to notice how remarkable and beautiful this area is. I guess you become immune to it when you're born and raised amongst it.

Enjoy - Mark

PS, skirts don't look to bad on the car.

Your car is beautiful, as is the scenery. The photography on this site rivals the quality of information. Its great that people here appreciate history to the point that they will share it with the rest of us. I get to see places I couldn't otherwise get to. But still, that car stands out anywhere it goes.

Mark,Your car and the photos look terrific. The skirts and visor give the car a bit of "attitude", (positive) :)

Thanks for the pics. You are surrounded by so much history. The church would be fascinating to see. And the skirts look good- you don't see that often.

I think some of that is from driving the '48 and realizing what life was like back when the car was new or newer.

The skirts look great on the car, not to mention that the photos are great also.

Keep the photos coming when you and the '48 are out and about.

By the way, one of my ancestors, Shem Drowne, built the grasshopper weather vane on top of Fanuiel Hall in Boston
