I found this site while researching a Windsor that I Wasserstein looking to buy and found it very helpful as they are "kissing cousins.". Now I have sealed the deal on the '48 and was wondering if there was a site specific to the Chryslers. Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome! This is a great forum and we have several members with '46-'48 Chryslers. Mechanically Chryslers are very similar to Desoto, Dodge, and Plymouth. You will find you will be able to get help with just about any problem. It is well worth your while to stay a member.

There is a group dedicated to your car and that is http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/46-48chryslers/ It would be worth your while joining that group but I encourage you to participate on this fourm also. Lots of members here belong to more than just one forum.

The other web site is VERY fussy when it comes to the Chryslers. If you suggest modernizing or changing anything they go into a freenzy.

Several members became so disgusted with some of the obsessive members they started another web site for which I do not know the name.

What I do remember is the name, Edward Pauch, of the the most knowledgeable member who runs the new site. He makes reproduction parts, and sells them on e-bay from time to time. His plastic items are of VERY high quality. He lives in Winnipeg, Canada.

Other than this web site, he is the only other person you need to know. So, looks for his items on e-bay. You can contact him if you like, but I do not know his currrent e-mail address. It may be on his e-bay sale pages.

No I don't as I just googled him and that is what I came up with. Send a PM or email to Rockwood (Fred) as he lives near Ed and knows him. He likely has some contact info for him.

Usually a project has lots of things to do, that looks pretty complete unless of course there is a gapping hole betweent the front fenders or something. Nice lookin Crashler,

Thanks, It is in great shape. Only bad spot is on the body along where the trunk closes. Most of what needs to be done is freshening up. There are few electrical things and the cooling system needs work. From what I have been able to find out here I believe it to be an issue with the water distribution tube. I can't wait to take delivery and start to work.

BTW, I am in Central MS.

Your Chrysler is a beauty, especially with the "Highlander" interior. Polish it and drive it!!!!

When my Dad had his '48 Chrysler coupe he always told me he wished it had a "Highlander" interior. He described it to me and I thought I liked his burgundy color better until I saw this. Now I know what he meant. That is a beautiful combination.................Tim
