41/53dodges Posted March 9, 2011 Report Posted March 9, 2011 who can find my overflow tank for the radiator. and yes, there is an independent one from the radiator. and yes, i really said "tanko" and yes, i know the engine bay is a real mess Quote
Young Ed Posted March 9, 2011 Report Posted March 9, 2011 Looks like a perfectly aged engine bay to me. I don't see wires hanging all over or a mess of oil etc. Quote
buds truck Posted March 9, 2011 Report Posted March 9, 2011 I am going out on a limb and saying it is the cannister for the oil filter. I have seen that done before..... Quote
41/53dodges Posted March 9, 2011 Author Report Posted March 9, 2011 ya got it! i added an indicator tube on the side. what do you think? Quote
Dan Babb Posted March 9, 2011 Report Posted March 9, 2011 Are you using it just as a 'catch-can'? I think that unless you're using a pressurized radiator cap, it won't suck back water in the radiator as the engine cools down. I didn't think the stock radiator was setup for a vented cap. Quote
41/53dodges Posted March 10, 2011 Author Report Posted March 10, 2011 well, if you noticed, the radiator was replaced anyways, so it is a 7LB pressure cap, so it should work when i buy more antifreeze. Quote
ggdad1951 Posted March 11, 2011 Report Posted March 11, 2011 Dodes, seeing your engine picture at the beginning of this thread makes me think we have the same set-up for the heater box (that version is not shown in the manuals) for the output from the water pump. Mine is pretty torched on the one end as you can see. I haven't been able to find the "same" style/typeof pipe elbow at the local hardware stores...any help/thoughts? Quote
