Jon, Is this a new car of yours? Sure is nice!

The dash on my 48 does not look good. It must have been painted with red paint from the $ Store. The window trim also. When I have the car painted, the dash and window trim will be painted with the same paint.

Would like to have it close to the original, plum/burgandy color.

Someone has been doing something right. That looks GREAT!!!!

I fear I do not have the patience to do that to my Desoto which has that very light what I call "fakey" looking wood grain.

I remember our '49 Dodge from High School. I was constantly amazed that it was not real wood, and I am perfectly serious. Was one of the best "imitation" woods I have ever seen.

I saw that video where you dip your parts in the liquid and let the graining material settle on the dash, and/or sections of the dash. If there were someone around here who had that "kit" I'd jump on it with both feet.

It never has made any sense to me why the low-end cars had the beautiful wood graining, and my Chrysler New Yorker has paint.
