greg g Posted January 1, 2011 Report Posted January 1, 2011 With the mudslides, tornados, heavy snows, and other freaky weather, just hopping no one was injured or suffered property loss as a result of being in the way anywhere. Quote
John Mulders Posted January 1, 2011 Report Posted January 1, 2011 More rain this night, every weekend we are surrounded by water. I calculated the amount of water going through my driveway. Sorry but I calculated in metric. Height off incoming water : 40 cm Width of the driveway : 400 cm Time for a piece of wood to cross 10 meters : 6 seconds I hope I calculated right but this results in 9600 Cubic meter every hour. 9 600 cubic meter = 2 536 051.702 6 gallon [uS, liquid] That is 28 million cans of Cola per hour.... Unfortunately it is dirty water , no value. John Quote

Don Coatney Posted January 1, 2011 Report Posted January 1, 2011 I just got off the phone with a friend in Minnesota . He said that since early this morning the snow has been nearly waist high and is still falling. The temperature is dropping below zero and the north wind is increasing. His wife has done nothing but look through the kitchen window all day. He says that if it gets much worse, he may have to let her in. Quote

LAKOTA169 Posted January 1, 2011 Report Posted January 1, 2011 Weather wasn't a problem here, just had to stay indoors to avoid all the falling bullets. Sounded like a war zone starting about 9pm. Even heard a few that sounded like full-auto. Mostly coming from The Detroit side of the border. Quote
