There have been some fires lately involving old cars, mainly rods and

kustoms. One was in Portland, TN and another in maybe Ohio or some

place. Plus have read of others.

Back in the 50s and 60s, a building contractor named Barney Pollard had a business

in Detroit. He collected old cars from the early days up,

He would coat them with some type grease and stand them on end along

the outside edge fencing in his yard. One day a train threw a spark that

ignited grass along the tracks, and that fire spread to Barney's place.

The fire destroyed or damaged a bunch of old cars. That was in the

1970s as best I can recall.

Here's a pic I found.....

Don, you should be able to find a thread on the HAMB about it.

It was in a building behind the owner's house.

He didn't have the correct insurance as I gathered.

It tells the owner's name and some other info.

I believe Jason's problem was he had not insured his operation as a

business.....thought things were covered under his Homeowners

policy. Which they were Not.

A person should be sure they have their own car insured properly, as

such a loss would have to be covered by your own "comprehensive"

section.....if the shop had no applicable coverage.

I'll take the Fulton sun visor !

I think there are maybe one or two P15 items in this pile.

Can you spot them?
