greg g Posted March 1, 2010 Report Posted March 1, 2010 (edited) Not Me! wonder what the deal is with the pass side inner fender and the firewall. there are two others , both 63 going for a bit less right now, one in AZ one ni NC. The NC one is a twofer with an unpictured parts car. Edited March 1, 2010 by greg g Quote
Young Ed Posted March 1, 2010 Author Report Posted March 1, 2010 The pass side inner fender looks like its been patched from rust. I suspect from looking under the hood that this car was not originally blue. Quote
Reg Evans Posted March 1, 2010 Report Posted March 1, 2010 I've always been partial the 63 Valiant's classic body style. Quote
Don Coatney Posted March 1, 2010 Report Posted March 1, 2010 Shortly after high school I bought a 63 Dodge 2 door post (318 three speed with a floor shifter)that had similar patches on the fender wells both sides. I suspected the patches were from headers as I think this car was a drag racer in an earlier life. Quote
Don Coatney Posted March 1, 2010 Report Posted March 1, 2010 I've always been partial the 63 Valiant's classic body style. Can you post a picture with the top down? Quote
Young Ed Posted March 1, 2010 Author Report Posted March 1, 2010 (edited) Reg I did see that 63 valiant on ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1963-Plymouth-Valiant-Convertible-Az-Signet-200-Dart_W0QQitemZ230443726645QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS_Cars_Trucks?hash=item35a7843735 Edited March 1, 2010 by Young Ed Quote
Reg Evans Posted March 1, 2010 Report Posted March 1, 2010 Can you post a picture with the top down? Sorry.....ran out of film.....Can you imagine ? On Ed's 64 I'm surprised it sold for so little $. I guess if it had the little V8 option it would have brought a lot more. Quote
Young Ed Posted March 1, 2010 Author Report Posted March 1, 2010 Ya honestly if I had thought it was going to go for that little I would have prepared more and actually been ready to bid. I figured it was going to jump way up so I didn't really worry about it. The whole private bidder thing scares me off too. Could be another reason it went low. Quote
greg g Posted March 1, 2010 Report Posted March 1, 2010 (edited) buy it now 3600 in NC http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Antique-Valiant-MOPAR-Classic-Buy-1-get-1-FREE_W0QQitemZ270537866489QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS_Cars_Trucks?hash=item3efd503cf9#v4-31 I always liked these Edited March 1, 2010 by greg g Quote
Young Ed Posted March 1, 2010 Author Report Posted March 1, 2010 I saw that red one too. Already a 63 in the family. I prefer the look of the 64 over the 63 also. Got a line on a former member of our plymouth club who passed away. Found out yesterday his family is selling all his cars and he had a 66 valiant convert. No details on that one yet and even though I knew this guy for many years I never saw this car. Quote
hkestes41 Posted March 1, 2010 Report Posted March 1, 2010 I've always been partial the 63 Valiant's classic body style. What Valiant? I don't see no Valiant. Quote
Phil Martin Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 Is this the top Don wanted to see down? Quote
JoelOkie Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 Anything in that condition is surely being serviced regularly. Quote
Young Ed Posted March 3, 2010 Author Report Posted March 3, 2010 You guys are bad Im thinking just enough mileage for the first servicing. Anyway this is my new find. The ad is a little confusing as it says newport 300. Which from the grill I think its a 300 not a newport. 440 engine. 22in rims and a huge stereo system Quote
Young Ed Posted March 5, 2010 Author Report Posted March 5, 2010 Here's one for me http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/wsh/cto/1628847671.html Quote
