I have a couple of Hull compasses..these I feel are the better despiction of the "compass of era" compared to these acorn looking devices such as this one... Quote

Got it here and opened the box to find it had been battered around to the point the the wheel was out of place. Never have been able to work it back and it sits there reminding me every time I go in the shop........ Quote

Yup,I saw this sell on eBay around a week or more ago. To me it looked like someone had just glued that emblem on and I was amazed at the amount of bidders that went for it. It's more like a late 1950s or maybe a '60s item......but works for me. Close to correct in its direction. The light doesn't work, but that's OK. I don't plan on getting lost at night. Quote

greg g Posted February 12, 2010 Report Posted February 12, 2010 (edited) Lets us know if you are successful, or not..........he seems to be using the lamp oil for fluid, I always thought it was suppoaed to be glycerin.
