BobT-47P15 Posted January 31, 2007 Report Posted January 31, 2007 I imagine many will know from whence it came. Quote
greg g Posted January 31, 2007 Report Posted January 31, 2007 Don't recognize the knob but was this the guy who invented sticky notes????? Quote
1just4don Posted January 31, 2007 Report Posted January 31, 2007 That knob came from the 60's eras mopars of the push button on the dash tranny shifter years??? Probably NOT,,,but as good as guess as I could think of!!! tell me I am wrong!! Quote
Normspeed Posted January 31, 2007 Report Posted January 31, 2007 I'm thinking the base is a tone adjusting knob off a radio, and the round knob is the type that were sold in auto stores in the 60's. And the string is my granddad's lucky piece of twine, I'd know it anywhere, been looking for it since 1947. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted January 31, 2007 Author Report Posted January 31, 2007 Nowhere near yet guys..........keep guessing. Interesting answers, though. Quote
Reg Evans Posted February 1, 2007 Report Posted February 1, 2007 My Mopar model 606 has those knobs on it. Early 50's Plymouth I think. Quote
norrism1 Posted February 1, 2007 Report Posted February 1, 2007 My guess is the center for a tail light lens. Probably late 50's or early 60's. Quote
Brendan D25 Posted February 1, 2007 Report Posted February 1, 2007 My guess is a radio knob from a 57 or 58 Plymouth:confused: Quote
littleman Posted February 1, 2007 Report Posted February 1, 2007 Looks like early FOARD, maybe shoebox AL Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted February 1, 2007 Author Report Posted February 1, 2007 That would be a shoebox Ford alright. Good guesstimate, Al. Quote
Reg Evans Posted February 1, 2007 Report Posted February 1, 2007 Guess I got spaced out by this customized Mopar model 606 in my garage. Quote
littleman Posted February 1, 2007 Report Posted February 1, 2007 That was easy, but they were alot more brilliant as I recall. Al Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted February 1, 2007 Report Posted February 1, 2007 Wll I admit I had no clue to what it belonged to but I also KNEW I had seen one and not so long ago..after a good nights rest and seeing this picture again this morning..I reach for the trinket box I have here and put my hand right in and pulled one of these bad boys out... BobT-47P15 Posted February 1, 2007 Author Report Posted February 1, 2007 Evidently, there are a lot of old Ford radios out there missing their knobs. Seems to have been a popular design. Quote
