Fred,

I'm surprised you seem to be such an easygoing guy. With a job like that, I'd be on edge all the time and ready to go off. I once worked at a place where I was surrounded by criminals all day long, but it was a regular place of business.

My father spent about 40 years in law enforcement, state police and then local. He passed away a couple of years ago. We still crack up when we think of some of the stuff he used to say. He was serious as all heck. Reminded me of Joe Friday only more intense. One time we pried one of the hubcaps off his unmarked and put a handful of gravel in it and put the hubcap back on. Then we watched him drive off down the street, leaning his head out the window trying to figure out where the noise was coming from. Another time we stuffed a potato up his exhaust pipe. Now, Jacqualine, make sure you ask about those things at the academy. They probably have very specific ways to detect crimes like that.

Now that I think of it, nothing, and I mean nothing, compares to the time he was sitting up studying for the deputy chief's exam and we tossed a small aerosol can of Binaca mouthwash in the fireplace. The funniest thing about that was the fifteen seconds of complete silence between the explosion and the yelling.

Rockwood, thank you for the vote of confidence. This is something I've been preparing for for a very long time (Heck, I have over 140 semester hours of university criminal justice, sociology, and psychology coursework... so hopefully all that training will help).

Sooooo...

Are you going to make it to Adams' party? +giggles+ (I know, its not happening... even if there is steak involved, eh? Maybe if I promised you a big hug and a slice of my pineapple pie?)

Would Love to attend:), Gotta "Lear Jet" by chance:D, abou:eek:t 1800 miles away to the North West, 150 miles North Of Fargo ND.

Pineapple Pie, now that sounds mighty temping.

Having known Tim, for a few years, would surely like to meet him and the rest of Yall, hope you have a great time, have slice of pineapple pie ;)for me while your at it...............

Joe, I have my "Moments", sometimes I need to go to work for a rest, or for quiet time, like on night shift in Prison, it can get nice and quiet.

On the serious side, because of what I do for a living, still can't go to certain places, and am always aware of who is around at public events, even shopping. Some ex-cons, have scores to settle with Justcice people, most just avoid us like the plaague, some are outright friendly when you meet them in the community.

I am around some real sickos too in the Pen I work in, like Jaqualine, my formal training and University Ed, does not and did not prepare me for my own feelings toward some of these types, but we must be "Professional", so the system tells us, when I retire, I will not miss it, only some of my co-officers......

Tim, Honey and I will be there and Gus will follow us in his 47. We will be driving the 51 Hudson as a test and leaving the 50 home. The test is to see how much rust I can blow off on the way to your place. We'll be in touch !! Richie

just because Norm wears rose colored glasses (don't make me have to post the picture Norm) does not mean he is a confirmed follower of Timothy Leary..of course..this is autumn in his neck of the woods and as we all know..the toadstools are popping up...

if Norms shows up...its steaks for everyone...(commissary has good prices on T-bones) one perk for retired military...

If Norm will commit to going, I'll figure a way to make it. Heck, it's only 340 miles to Miwaukee from here:rolleyes:

Richie when you get there just pull it right into Tims paint booth

Ed, I hadn't thought about that, maybe just a clearcoat would be best !! I'll bring some polish just incase the paint booth is full. Richie.

Beautiful car Ed, waaaaay to rich for my blood though. I'd love to have one like that, but right now the $100,000 plus for something like that is out of my range. I just go to the Hudson meets and drool !!! Richie.

He was at the last one in Detroit but he didn't take the car. I think they stayed at the same motel we did for the 2008 plymouth club national

Wish we could come, Tim. Somehow showing up in the minivan wouldn't feel right and the car is probably a year or two away from moving on it's own. I would like to meet and cruise with all you guys someday. That's some great looking iron in those pictures.
