pflaming Posted May 21, 2009 Report Posted May 21, 2009 Reg, what is the difference between a P 24 engine and a B3B engine? Quote
Reg Evans Posted May 21, 2009 Report Posted May 21, 2009 Nothing really Paul except for some casting numbers. They are both 218's Quote
pflaming Posted May 22, 2009 Report Posted May 22, 2009 Reg, thanks for the answer, that was what I thought. OT My wife and I are going to Maine, just north of Portland, for the summer. Have a son and his family there so will go and spend time near them, it will be a nice change. When I return will get back to my truck. If your $200 P24 engine is still around I may use that as a good excuse to come to your place and meet you. Like many others we really appreciate the good information you so willingly share. Thank you! Quote

BobT-47P15 Posted May 22, 2009 Report Posted May 22, 2009 Looks to me like another hotrod attempt that never went anywhere. Quote
Reg Evans Posted May 22, 2009 Report Posted May 22, 2009 Yup....I think Bob said the front of the frame was cut off and the plan was to graft on something more modern. Sad:confused: Quote
wayfarerstranger Posted May 22, 2009 Report Posted May 22, 2009 REG i put the WOODIE on the fedex truck this morning it need`s a front end alignment & i don`t feel like messing with it , so i`m sending it to you ,,,, CHANCE Quote
Reg Evans Posted May 22, 2009 Report Posted May 22, 2009 Thanks Chance ! You da man. When it arrives I'll take it directly to a woodie doctor. Sounds like a simple case of Peyronie's disease to me. Quote
JerseyHarold Posted May 22, 2009 Report Posted May 22, 2009 The wagon is a '52 according to the trim and dashboard. Quote
old woolie Posted May 22, 2009 Report Posted May 22, 2009 Looks to me like another hotrod attempt that never went anywhere. Yeah, looks like somebody bit off more than they could chew. It's a shame. By the way, do sedan fenders fit the wagons? Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted May 23, 2009 Report Posted May 23, 2009 1949 fender profile are the ones...however as the models changed the trim and hole location for that trim moved up and down as the base model for the year...that is why finding Suburban rear spears is a trip for a 51/52 Quote
glendale Posted June 1, 2009 Report Posted June 1, 2009 picked up the wagon this morning. the car is actually super sold compared to what i'm used to. i'll post pics up in the a.m.. thanks again bob. Quote
Dennis_MN Posted June 1, 2009 Report Posted June 1, 2009 Here is a shot of a Dodge 2door Wagon at the last weekend Mopars in the Park in Minnesota. Belongs to Ken Ablen who has spent the past three years rebuilding it. He was telling a story about the expensive gas tank sender unit. These wagons have a special L shaped tank with a low part going under the spare. The shape requires a special sending unit because it is very non-linear. The Beirbaum catalog lists one for the car at $80 but he wanted $280 for the wagon model. I told Ken if it was me I'd use a stick to see if it needed gas. Dennis Quote
