Looks good. I like the fact that the original steering wheel/column is being

used, along with an original look for the dash. Retains that "old car" idea,

more so than those with tilt, etc and totally changed dashes.

So, in what part of the country do you reside??

Am I ever going to get to see this car in Joplin, MO?????

Very nice looking convertible. Welcome to the forum.

I like that you used the original column and steering wheel. Makes the car look really neat. So how did you adapt the column up to the updated transmission? I assume you had to make up your own linkage, etc?

Very nice. The digital dash looks great in that car too.

Do you get much wind noise from the top when hitting about 80 mph?

A guy in Kansas City, a while back, bought a nice grey P15 convert, put

some V8 into it, spent quite a bit on getting it right mechanically.....then

compalined about wind noise at speed. Last I knew he was trying to sell

the car. Go figure.

odds are Ed..if he drove with the top down then the sun would be to hot on his head..wear a hat..then the wind would blow the hat off..or momma would not ride as the "do" would get disturbed...just no pleasing some folks..if it does not have wind noise or leak water then its not a convertible

Tim I think you nailed it. I personally love having a convert. Wish I had one of my own. Dads 3 helps though. Pretty soon it'll be time to bring home the newest one the 69 Sport Fury convert.

I don't have to worry about wind noise at high speeds......mine doesn't

like to go much over 60 or 65 mph. Had it up to 75 one time - was

kinda scary with the old stock front end stuff. However, had radials

on it then, and handled better than with bias plys.

Is kinda tough on hats and the little woman's "do".

She likes to have the top down, but not in every case.

Depends on whether she's just been to the hairdresser.

Strangely, the only place mine normally leaks is the lower, outer

corners of the windshield. Still has original rubber.....so not

surprising. The deal is - I try not to wash it or drive it in

the rain.
