Niel Hoback Posted March 9, 2009 Report Posted March 9, 2009 It's time for another of my stupid questions. I have wondered for 40 years, how do you change the bulb after you've done that? All this time I have been ashamed to ask, but there it is. Quote
glendale Posted March 9, 2009 Author Report Posted March 9, 2009 the whole bucket is now mounted on the inside. so to change the bulb you remove the bucket as one unit. i'll take some pics this week to give you a visual. Quote
Niel Hoback Posted March 9, 2009 Report Posted March 9, 2009 Please don't got to any trouble. I always wondered, but removing it from the rear makes sense in the "slap yourself on the forehead" way. Thanks, thats all I wanted to know. Quote
billwillard Posted March 9, 2009 Report Posted March 9, 2009 You can also buy rhose kits that load from the front. Quote
billwillard Posted March 9, 2009 Report Posted March 9, 2009 You can also buy t:D hose kits that load from the front. Quote
glendale Posted March 10, 2009 Author Report Posted March 10, 2009 it's no trouble at all. i have to finish the other side. as far as kits go i don't like the looks of most them. if any of you guys have another 51 headlight ring i could really use it. it can be pitted just not bent or cracked. thanks. Quote
glendale Posted March 10, 2009 Author Report Posted March 10, 2009 yea the rings are tacked on in a bunch of spots. and then i used mar glass also. it's like bondo with fiberglass in it. Quote
dezeldoc Posted March 10, 2009 Report Posted March 10, 2009 I was a wondering, I did not see the welds and thought you had glassed them on. I would have skipped the marglass as it is brittle and likes to crack. I would have used the all metal bondo instead. looks good keep at it. Quote
mackster Posted March 10, 2009 Report Posted March 10, 2009 Looks Great, Glendale, I love that look. Also, Im really digging the gold tooth, like a rapper or something! Quote
oleskool Posted March 10, 2009 Report Posted March 10, 2009 What did u use for the headlight rings? The stock ring r pot metal, which I didn't think u cud weld!? Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted March 11, 2009 Report Posted March 11, 2009 come on Frankie..you don't need spell check when the letter is the word..however texting..?..I picked up on the gold tooth real quick and the band leader from the muppets jumped into mind..will be a bit different.... Quote
oleskool Posted March 11, 2009 Report Posted March 11, 2009 Spell check............. What do we have here, another vinerger breathe with 2 much time on his hands who likes 2 post wise ass remarks instead of contributing useful info? LOL Quote
dezeldoc Posted March 11, 2009 Report Posted March 11, 2009 What do we have here, another vinerger breathe with 2 much time on his hands who likes 2 post wise ass remarks instead of contributing useful info? LOL Oh young grasshoper, you soon learn when roaming with the dinosaurs do as the others do, that way they understand you and won't eat you!! Quote
glendale Posted March 12, 2009 Author Report Posted March 12, 2009 the gold tooth won't be on the car forever. it's more of a joke than anything. i did weld the pot metal rings on. as i said they are only tacked probably in about 20 places. i concentrated the heat on the fender and just kinda grabbed the ring. it held pretty good i tried my best to rip it off and it would not come. i ran out of gas for the welder so friday i'm gonna pic some more up and saturday hopefully finish the front clip. thanks for the replies. mackster Posted March 13, 2009 Report Posted March 13, 2009 I like checking out all the flaming that goes on there. Sad to say the latest threads where everyone went south on the topic, usually get locked out and then erased. They are some of the funniest threads on the net. We couldnt get that bad over here. . .but it sure gives us a new low to look up to. Quote
